West End Cafe

Does West End throw all of their dishes away when they think someone is to dirty or skanky to come in their and eat. Seems like every time certain people come in down their they throw dishes away, make fun of them behind their back where other customers can see them and spray bleach all over everything before they even pick up anything. If they don't want these customers just be a sign outside saying if you stink or are dirty go somewhere else to eat, unclean people not allowed.

Yes, I've seen and heard it, just ask B.T. on Doe Run or even call the Town Office in West Union and see what they have to say about what's went on down there. Alot of people have seen it and heard it but just don't give a sh*t!!

I have ate at many different places, Ritchie, Dodd., Harrison, etc and I've been in this Cafe and seen some of the things that are mentioned here and on other sites. Everyone needs to support these businesses as long as they are not mistreating customers. But, I feel that if they are making fun of customers the people working their should not have a job in the service industry. They should try to find another line of work!! This is one of the reasons we quit coming to W.U. to eat, because they act like it is a chore to try and be nice to people without talking behind their back as soon as they leave. Most of the people that work at this cafe also go to they beauty shops and talk about people, one shop in particular. I have family members that live here and that is the only reason I return.

I have eaten at this restaurant many times, they have good food, clean environment and very friendly waitresses. The food gets to us quickly and I love knowing that they use a lot of bleach as a disinfectant. This is a good thing.

I have never heard any one complain of customers. Every time I have eaten there, it has been pleasant in every way. And I don't know, and I don't care who works there or who owns the place. It doesn't matter as long as the food is clean, the surroundings are clean and the staff is polite.

Well I have been in there also and I have seen them make fun of certain customers, including the mayor and the woman that comes in with him. I have also seen them throw the dishes away instead of washing them after these same customers. So, I guess you've been in there on a good day tuff nough. You must not be there the days they do these things. That is showing a disrespect to the customers that come in there and spend the same money that you or any one else does.

and also live on state aid as her lover boyfriend

The thought of eating at any of the cafe's here in west union makes my guts turn ! i know alot of the people from most the places here and i would not allow my dog to eat there even. they are not clean and are mostly trouble makers and most could not count to ten or pass a drug test !!
but they do provide jobs for there familys most the time??never would i eat at any of the so called clean places, and as for maybe a health dept check, if this were a real city alot of them would have a 30 notice..

I don't care who gets state assistance, what does that matter? It has nothing to do with quality or anything else.

I don't care who is a drug user, a drug user isn't necessarily a dirty cook.

I have been to this restaurant more than just occasionally and it is a fine place to eat, good food, good staff, and fair prices. The establishment is clean. The health dept. gave it pass so isn't that all that matters? I think someone just has a personal grudge against someone that owns the place or against someone that works there. Get over it!

Who started all this stuff about the diners in West Union. Maybe another diner in Salem with the same menu but just higher prices.

No matter what anyone says there food gets worse everyday from what I have been hearing from family members and some of the staff are real loosers. Quite a few times I have seen one waitress that works there in Ritchie County with a married man who's wife is laying in the hospital about to die. That shows what kind of class they have working there.

I don't go there anymore. got a burger there last time and it was so dried up it scratched my throat when I swallowed after chewing a mouthful.
They must not cook things fresh when u order. weird how u can look at both menu from t&j and west end and they are the same crap. can't they find some new stuff to cook?

Yes, I can understand the burger being dry because one of the girls that worked their and also worked up at Fairview says they take and make there burgers and then let them set in the steam table and get them out as they need them. So it's hard to tell how long it set there before you got it. She said they make them up ahead and just keep them in there to stay warm, can you believe that!! When I want my burgers I like them made fresh right then, not something that's set around for who knows how long.

I did quit eating there. The food really sucked and got worse all the time. Prices were also higher than most places for less food. I also believe what the girl said about the hamburgers and some of the other things down there!!!!!!!!!

Hell most of the people working there are drunks and drugies and act like a**holes. Maybe they can all join a group with Joseph Oliverio because most of them think they're better than everyone else like he does and he's a drunk like most of them!!!!
