La Porte Mom Arrested For Letting Child Play Outside

[Just Curious]

So is it illegal to let your 6 and 9 yr olds ride their bikes outside? Seriously? How many kids do I see every day riding their bikes up and down driftwood? At least they were in a cul da sac. So we are to keep our kids inside all the time? And people wonder what's wrong with the world these days. Kids sheltered way to much and grow up to have no clue how to take care of themselves! Keep clinging to mommy and daddy to take care of them even through college and their marriages!

Get a clue!!!!! The charges were dropped.If The mom was lieing the charges would not have been dropped.Its people like you is the reason why kids get taken away!!! My niece was adopted from CPS she was drug through hell and back you need to think before you comment.I dont blame the mother sueing I hope she wins and wins BIG

I heard the incident happened a year ago, in the evening and that it was dark outside. That the kids were playing in the street and the neighbor saw the boy laying in the middle of the rode with the scooter on top of him. Then the other kid ran into her parked car after she stopped suddenly not to hit him. So the neighbor called 911 and ran to the door. She banged on it for like 10 minutes before the mom came out. I also heard that the cops would not have arrested her if she would have cooperated. All they would have done was have CPS investigate.

I've also heard that one the kids has been suspended and expelled more than a few times. It sounds like this family has a lot of problems.

Well... I've heard that anonymous posters working for the City often post here to douse any flames the citizenry might have going here on Topix.

Not only have I heard it... I've witnessed it here first hand... many times.

This is just another of those times.(posted strategically on two different strings no less)

The PEOPLE are going to clean up La Porte and rid ourselves of all these outside influences... we WILL rid ourselves of the corruption that is choking the life out of our town.

Corrupt influences like Chief Adcox... who was with El Paso during the biggest militarization of those police forces there.

That is EXACTLY why Chief Adcox was brought to this town... because he would do things that a local Chief from La Porte would not do.

Like advocate for building projects to get that "under the table" money flowing... and follow the Establishments agenda to reign in the people of America... using their children!!!

OUT WITH CHIEF ADCOX!!!!

nope just a mother of 3 children here in good old Laporte. And my kids ride four wheelers out side my house unsupervised and i've never had the cops called on me! as a matter of fact I have 3 Laporte cops that live in my neighborhood nobody has ever said anything to me! One of this woman kids went to our school at one point and was kick and now has to go to another school and this is the 9 year boy she has! this child could really use a good mother! and god bless the poor neighbor who lives next door to her! and the poor cops who had to put up with her fat butt for 18 hours!!!!!!
