That is the way it goes in this economy. People are not guaranteed jobs.

OBAMA CARE? This is only the first small hospital in this area that this is going to happen to. It is happening nationwide actually. People who work in the medical profession saw it coming and now it is here. Get ready for longer lines and higher death rates. Already some offices and ERs are cutting back on certain drugs that used to be readily available. Many services are not going to be available at the hospitals that CAN afford to keep the doors open because it will not be cost effective. Also new taxes may apply to certain procedures and the health care facilities just can't afford to offer services that were once seemingly simple...so who loses out? All of us...the community, the patients, the staff etc.

Oh if everyone really knew what this program has in store for us. After you reach a certain age the government wont pay to keep you alive if you have a terminal illness for example kidney failure, uncontrolled diabetes with complications, periphal artery disease, COPD, etc. So the checks will stop coming when this person dies, no nursing homes. You or you family can pay for care but if you can't you will be left to die according to the Obama program. I'm glad I'm on my way out instead of coming in. Poor children. Better learn to plant and rais animals if they want to eat.

Sad news for the entire Calhoun County community. We're all aware of the health care issues at hand, but where is the CONCERN for the citizens. I truly hope that this issue is resolved and that hospital is reopened or the welfare of the citizens.

So that must have been a little teeny tiny hospital. Where did all the workers go? do they have jobs now?
