Shooting

I heard there was another shooting at Bahama Mamas on Sunnymead Blvd this past Sat. night. I was also told the person who was shot died. Does anyone know what happened? I searched the Press Enterprise and didn't see anything.

YEAH AT BAHAMA MAMAS, A MAN WAS SHOT AND KILLED SAT NIGHT. A FRIEND OF MINE WAS THERE LIKE RIGHT THERE WHEN IT HAPPENED, DIDNT GET OUT OF THE POLICE STATION TILL 5 AM. I LOVE GOING TO THE BAR BUT I HATE THE SATURDAY NIGHT ATMOSPHERE, FRIDAY NIGHT IS A MUCH BETTER NIGHT

I was there too but a fight had broke out inside i guess the shooting was outside, we had just left when I heard the cops racing down the street and the chopper came out. Friday night is cool, but I usually end up there on Sat because of my work schedule, and I have noticed a difference in the two nights and the crowds. I was just wondering if the shooting involved either of the two guys that were fighting inside??

Regarding Sniper's post, there are a few readers who don't understand Spanish/Mexican Slang.

Here is the definition of his terms

PINCHE
Spanish-language expression meaning:
a) Kitchen boy. The guys who clean up the Chef's mess and scrub the frying pans and carry stuff around. In this context it's still used in Spain.

b) In Mexico, it's an all-purpose insult enhancer, which would be roughly equivalent to the use of F---ING in English.


c) In Mexico, it's also used as an adjective to describe something as insignificant, lousy, miserable or worthless.

MAYATE, literal definition is a dung beatle. little black beatle that rolls excrement everywhere it goes. it's a derogatory term used in spanish slang to refer to dark skinned people.

I always thought the word "MAyate" was short for the "MAya" you know like the maya indians because the spanish would discriminate against them because they were dark and FEO.

It is very true that we need to take ownership of who you are. Times are tough right now, and we need to make our own changes, sometimes those can be difficult as they began with us. Today we all need each other more than anyone may know.
