"ham-handed responses" sums it pretty well; more of the same shaft we've all been fed.

"...(the) goal does not justify discarding impartial government. The public wants an unbiased decision on the project, not cheerleaders on the council dais."

Well said. Are $10 an hour jobs going to revive MoVal? Nope.
