On Wednesday, July 15, 2010, officers from the Moreno Valley Police Department responded to a residence located at the 27000 block of Cottonwood Ave. in the City of Moreno Valley reference a possible kidnapping.

Upon the officer's arrival they contacted a female who advised that her older sister, Norma Lopez, was missing. Officers immediately established a perimeter and conducted a comprehensive search. Norma was immediately entered into the statewide missing persons system and her description was broadcast to all surrounding agencies.

Norma Lopez is described as a Hispanic female, seventeen years old, approximately five feet, seven inches tall, weighing 110 pounds, brown eyes, with brown shoulder length hair. She was last seen wearing a black and white horizontal stripe, sleeveless shirt, with a floral pattern and black "skinny" jean trousers.

I hope they find her soon. The best thing everyone can do is keep an eye out, and put this message up as many places as possible.

Why when this darling little human being is being abducted is the moreno valley police department too busy to search for her conducting dui checkpoints rather than trying to find her?. I seen about 20-40 police officers at each checkpoint practically doing nothing but standing around, some even horse playing all evening long when they could of been searching for the car that took her?

well most of the time where a person is took does't mean they are still in the area. I'm sure her friends and family have been looking for her. To say no one has is so mean. Where do you start looking? Have you been looking? This is a scary thing to happen to a family especially for her close family, and true friends. It okay to voice your opinion ,but in these time of need, saying no one doing anything is really stupid. And those police you saw may not have the skills to do missing person, thats why they have detectives, who are very good at what they do.

This is a serious issue, and has nothing to do with checkpoints. There are many posts for you to choose from dealing with checkpoints. You have already done so on those. You are starting to act like our resident ass hat, that post crap, just for the sake of posting.

You are probably one of those people who march on city hall to protest checkpoints, which takes police away from their normal duties, cost overtime pay, all just to babysit you, and block traffic so you can cross the street without obstructing traffic. Then too top it all off, you post this crap about police not out doing their jobs.
