Yesterday there were quakes in Russia which turned a river to steam, China where a river turned red (sulfuric acid?) and someone posted satellite pics of steam coming from areas in the San Andreas...things that make you hmmm now 40 minutes ago a 4.6 in China 42 minutes ago 5.0 40 minutes ago...Scotty she's breaking up!

This sulphurous smell is actually a very strong indicator of a massive earthquake! The Salton Sea is by San Andreas Fault so it could be getting ready to blow. I do not want to cause panic or fear but just be ready and stay safe!
please, where did you do your research? And so were gonna have one giant earthquake in all the states that smelled rotten eggs? Smh

Be advised! The smell of sulfur has been noted and documented before MAJOR earthquakes. Gasses are escaping from between plates and can be detected from water better than earth because the ground has a tendency to absorb gasses and smells. I would advise everyone who has the ability to MOVE. Everyone else should PRAY! Do a little research on this yourselves and make your own conclusions. If you decide to ignore this advisement at least inform yourselves of the risk you are taking first.
please show me proof of this smell indicating earthquakes from a legit source and not a student

i work in a small hospital in east texas. Last night i went to inspect all the bathrooms because I smelled this horrible odor and couldn't imagine what it could be (in a hospital its usually poop) all bathrooms were clean, no toilets clogged up and it still smells tonight.. on my 20 minute drive home i smelled it again while my window was down and had to roll it up.. Now im a long ways from California so i can't blame the Salton Sea over it, but only a few months ago we had a small earthquake, it was big enough to rattle windows and crack a few cement picnic tables... so im leaning towards a major quake hitting somewhere soon who knows where remains to be seen, but its a little strange that a lot of people are mentioning it around hospitals.
it smells bad

The 35S, or sulfur-35, is what hit southern California with the rotten egg smell in September. This was soon after an apparent criticality event at Fuku. The media gave a bs story about dead fish in the Salton Sea. Well, there has been dead fish there a long time now.

Oh, and within the next couple of days, the smell was reported in Ohio, Indiana, and West Virginia. This was blamed on various pollution sources.

Sulfur-35 is produced by neutron emitters like curium and plutonium coming into contact with chlorine in seawater.

it's fukushima radiation

Study: Fukushima Radiation Not a Health Threat in U.S.
UCSD researchers’ quantitative study measures radiation leaked from Japan’s Fukushima nuclear reactor meltdown, citing no threat to human health in the U.S.
For all you folks that rushed to the drug store to stock up on iodine following the Fukushima nuclear reactor meltdown in March, rest easy. Researchers from the University of California San Diego (UCSD) have released the first quantitative study of radiation leaked from the meltdown, and the result is that although radiation levels across California spiked because of the meltdown, it was not enough to warrant any hazard to human health in the U.S.

Atmospheric chemists from UCSD were led by Mark Thiemens, Dean of the Division of Physical Sciences at UCSD, in an effort to measure radioactive sulfur levels in the air following the meltdown. When nuclear fuel rods melt, neutrons are released, and collide with chloride ions in the seawater used to cool the reactors. This results in the loss of a proton from the nucleus of the chloride atom, turning it into a radioactive form of sulfur. To avoid hydrogen (another product of the cooling process) from exploding, the vapors from the seawater are released into the atmosphere. When introduced to the air, the radioactive sulfur reacts with oxygen to make sulfur dioxide gas and sulfate particles.

These particles were carried via winds from Japan to North America, sparking alarm that the U.S. and Canada would experience the same kind of radioactive fallout seen in neighboring countries to the Chernobyl disaster of 1986. But fears of mutated babies, high cancer rates and radioactive crops may be put to rest with the UCSD study’s findings.…

The stench is here too near Lake Perris in Moreno Valley. It does have a heavy scent of Gas/sulfur. I have a newer home that is weather sealed and I still smell it indoors tonight. I traveled to Brawley right past the Salten Sea in recent weeks and then too the stench smelled of gas/sulfur and was overwhelming. So much so that even with the windows up & A/C on I held my breath for most of the ride. I also noted that there were a lot of flies, similar to what I've seen in Moreno Valley for the past few days. I don't know if there's a connection, but based on my interpretation of the pattern of the storm that hit Mexico, I think there's a good possibility that we'll be getting a couple more days of this olfactory abusing, sleep depriving stench.
