Right that's why the farm workers unionized, better treatment, working conditions and WAGES. It doesn't take long for them to want what we have, they just don't want to be US.

speaking of them tring to find work or at least sell something they just dont stand there with a pathetic sign like whites and blacks do asking for free money
The reason is panhandling isn't a crime, but the chances of being talked to by law enforcement is to great of a risk for them to take.

Now if you really want to see some panhandling just go south of the border. Hell they will have their children pull on your pant leg, and even reach into your pocket looking for a hand out or quick snatch and grab. At least those with signs you can chose if you want to help them out or not. Down their the choice isn't even close.

Lets not forget the ones that come through our neighborhoods on Trash night and clean out the entire contents of our recycling bins, lets not forget we pay for that service every three months. As far as I am concerned that is stealing.

Let me make myself very clear, it is not whites or blacks, it is Mexicans digging in our trash cans.

It has gotten to the point were you have to shred everything that goes into your normal trash for fear of identity theft.

I look at it this way, the whites and the blacks are smarter than the Mexicans, they purchase nothing, they stand with a sign and people give them money. The Mexicans go purchase goods to sell on the street corners, or go door to door busting their asses hoping to make enough money to cover the costs plus make a profit.

The project is expected to generate 600 year-round jobs and 200 part-time summer jobs, according to the initial environmental study prepared for the city by Michael Brandman Associates, an Irvine consulting firm.

Highland Fairview President Iddo Benzeevi said jobs are just as important to a community as high-quality housing, shopping and other amenities.

"There's a tremendous amount of housing, but not as much jobs in the city," Benzeevi said by phone. "We wanted to create a high-quality corporate park where a Fortune 1000 company would feel comfortable."

"We wanted to create a high-quality corporate park where a Fortune 1000 company would feel comfortable." SKECHERS is headquartered in Manhattan Beach, CA. That should be pretty "comfortable.

How comfortable is this? Court Case Number: 2:10-cv-07181-DDP -SS, Monday, September 27, 2010,
Cause: 17:501 Copyright Infringement,$250 million lawsuit. Or this? Aug 30, 2010 ... New York, NY, United States (AHN)- Shoemaker Skechers has been served with a class action lawsuit targeted against the company's Shape-Ups.

Press Release - Released: February 13, 2009
Warehouse Workers Protest Lay Offs and Treatment...
ONTARIO, CA Today, former workers from the Kmart and Skechers warehouses in Ontario protested being laid off without warning, prior notification, or any offer of severance.

his pattern of mistreatment was repeated at the Skechers warehouse. "Working at the Skechers warehouse is hard enough, but its even worse when you get treated so badly and have no job security," said Dilma Fuentes, recently laid off from her position at the Skechers warehouse.

Here the city goes again. The freeway and roads need to be addressed first! to accomadate the extra traffic. Its going to be a mess like supertarget and superwalmart. What about the freeway 60/215? It will need to accomadate 2500 extra cars, its allready a mess.

Anson - Skechers & MoVal officials assure us there will not, can not be ANY traffic increase as a result of the project. They said so. In a report. They wouldn't lie would they?

And if the current traffic bottle-neck increases what could we do it about it? 2200 'truck trips per day' is their initial estimate. How long is a diesel tractor and 2 trailers?

Antique one lane roads, overpasses and on/off ramps in the proposed area is the issue. Imagine double trailer big rigs getting up to speed or clogging the ramps.

The diesel fumes will kill you before the traffic accidents will. All of this was approved by the city.

1 - Traffic concerns: An estimated 1800 - 2200 big rig trips per day initially is the traffic estimate. There will be MORE trips and MORE big rigs as the project expands. A 7,770+ unit housing project is also proposed for that same area.

Moreno Valley Highlands and Moreno Valley Ranch developments will only add to a horrible traffic problem on a two lane freeway. Highland Fairview had to be aware of these new projects. If each of the 7,700+ units has two vehicles then 15,400 MORE cars will be competing for road space with the big rigs in that same area.

2 - The developer, Highland Fairview, is expected to pay Skechers up to $2.2 million to rent alternative facilities because the building won't be completed this month (January 2009) as required under the lease. WOULD SOMEONE CHECK, please, to see IF this provision is being done?

I have Iddo Benzeevi on audio, where he admits Frank West was correct at around 40,000 truck trips per day as a result of their development.

So in ADDITION to that count there would be additional vehicles for the warehouse workers, vendors visiting the warehouse, catering trucks PLUS the 7,700+ residents of the NEW housing (Moreno Valley Highlands & Moreno Valley Ranch developments)tracks?

Someone should start a new Topix thread: "Skechers Traffic: Lies vs Reality".

Also is Highland Fairview paying Skechers up to $2.2 million to rent alternative facilities? Any idea of how many MoVal (aka "Cargo Belago") residents are working at the site?

Thanx for the clarification MVG.

Only in Moreno Valley can a distribution center be considered a great accomplishment. The press has been this guys best friend. I just hope the Press Enterprise tells the true story about the real number of Moreno Valley citizens that get a job in this warehouse and how much money they get paid. It will be clear the terrible impacts of truck traffic and smog far out-weigh the small number of jobs.

You should read a bit more. The complaint is that no one is getting a job. It is all a con-job or it seems that way.

More than likely, after the employees from Ontario take their positions at the new warehouse, any vacancys will be filled using temp. services. So you may want to get down to a temp services and get registered right along with everyone else looking for warehouse work. Most of these warehouse jobs, usually don't last more than 90 days because they do not want to pay there employees benefits. So the employees come and go like a revolving door.

You're an idiot. For illegal immigrants? Retard. If they have citizens applying for it that can prove they can work in the us and they have an illegal applying who do you think they will hire? Get your ass to work and stop complaining because they are taking your job. Maybe if citizens werent so frikin lazy they might still have their jobs.
