Any Public Offical from congress, senate and president who believe that guns are the problem should enhance their credibility by eliminating all guns in their presence.Any thing less is just plain posturing. ( Do as I say,Not as I do ) And that would include eliminating the 1800 Capital Police who's primary responsibilities are protecting members of congress, the senate and House of Representatives.

Father shoots wife and then himself at daughter’s 16th birthday party
By David Edwards
Monday, January 21, 2013

A Texas girl’s 16th birthday party ended in tragedy over the weekend after her father killed his estranged wife and then himself.
Grapevine police said 43-year-old Kelly Suckla argued with his 44-year-old wife, Kristi, before shooting her at about 10 p.m. during the party on Saturday, according to The Dallas Morning News. Kelly Suckla then turned the gun on himself.

Kristi Suckla suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the neck and body. She was pronounced dead about 40 minutes later at Baylor Medical Center. Kelly Suckla died of a single gunshot to the head, which was ruled a suicide by the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.

Lets see. You scour the net looking for shootings. Look up drunk driveing. Look up people killed with anything other than a firearm. Then you will see the truth.

People who want to ban alcohol or cars and trucks or anything else should summon the courage to say so. Otherwise they are just babbling.

I'm not in favor of banning cars and trucks. They are an important part of the national economy.

Firearms hurl pieces of metal through a target.

So a 3500 pound hunk of metal doesn't count??? Tell that to the family of a 7 year old killed by a drunk driver

Just admit it. Cars kill more people than firearms.

Firearms in the hands of law abiding citizens can and do save the lives of those law abiding citizens by hurling pieces of metal through law breakers.

Cars kill more people than guns. I'm aware of no family member of someone killed in a car accident ever calling for a ban on cars.

To recap, no one is calling for a ban on all cars and no one is calling for a ban on all firearms.

Kennesaw (GA) Gun Law ...copy & paste from USA Carry

In 1982 Kennesaw, GA passed a law stating that all heads of household shall posses a firearm and ammunition for said firearm. There are loopholes in the law that relieve some of the residents from having to abide by the law. Criminals, mentally ill or handicapped, religous beliefs and even not being able to afford a firearm. Partly it was to uphold the safety of the residents in the town but another part to the law was a rebuttal to the law passed earlier that year in Morton Grove, Illinois that banned the possesion of firearms within the city limits where the press portrayed Morton Grove as "taking a stand against Evil Handguns".

It has been proven that Kennesaw, GA has among the lowest if not the lowest crime rate of any town its size in the country. Roughly 75% lower than the national average. That is a staggering number. Why? I feel it is because crimminals do not know if the person they are messing with has a firearm, because odds are they do and they can protect themselves.

Some figures for you from FT.com
-- "almost 30 years after the law was passed, it is still in place and still popular, not least because Kennesaw’s crime rate has remained disproportionately low, even as the town’s population swelled from 5,000 in 1982 to almost 35,000 now. According to the latest FBI statistics, Kennesaw recorded 31 violent crimes – mainly robberies and aggravated assaults – during 2008. In other similar-sized local towns the figures were much higher – 127 in Dalton and 188 in Hinesville. For property crimes – largely burglaries and thefts – Kennesaw recorded 555 while Dalton had 1,124 and Hinesville 1,802."

“Firearms are involved in less than 2 per cent of the crime around here,” confirms Craig Graydon, a police lieutenant who has served in Kennesaw for 24 years.“If nothing else,[the firearms law] draws a lot of attention to the importance of crime prevention.”

The Kennesaw Law was promptly challenged by the American Civil Liberties Union stating it was unconstitutional. The Federal courts ruled otherwise letting the firearm possesion law stand.

Let the ignorance flow, watermark! That's it! Let it flow.

Tax Man was talking about people who have no respect for the laws in our country. The very fact they're in this country proves that. If they'll break the law to come here then why would we think they won't continue breaking it.

Plus, since they've already proven they're law-breakers, why reward them?

There was no hate in Tax Man's statement, just the truth...unless you're a bleeding heart liberal who considers our laws or logic or The US Constitution to be hate.
