I never stated my opinions on gun laws or gun ownership. For all you know, I completely agree with you on that matter. Still, I want to know what the original poster needs from the police that they either can't or won't do for him/her.
That's it. Simple question.
Well so far they have not answered you, what has that got to do with me, why take it out on me? I tied the logical need for a weapon for protection into the discussion because the police do not normally arrive in time for life threatening situations, they have not arrived in time several times in even the Morehead Police Departments history to save the day. Part of it is they can not be everywhere all the time, sometimes the victim can not call 911 they die / maimed / raped before that phone call. Solution for beginners is concealed carry / weapons for all the law abiding population who actually gives a dang...The only way to suppress lethal force is by lethal force regardless who the good guy is.

I really don't see how I was taking anything out on you. No foul language, no rude statements.

The Morehead Police have one of the fastest response times in the state. I heard their average response time is 3 minutes per call.(Which could be easily fact-checked if anyone is interested in facts over hearsay).

But yes, sometimes bad things happen and the police get there afterwards. Such is life.

Ha ha you got that right, works in every city and county in the state of KY. They will probably send eight instead of two.

I thought they were going to call swat just because I had a pipe wrench trying to protect myself from two other men trying to break into my house were my wife was.

"They" say you can protect you're self. As in shooting and killing the suspect if he has threatened you're life. To many by laws and loop holes I think. The suspect can sue for getting injured on you're property, you can be charged for man slaughter, the family can own everything you have. I'd just make a lump sump decision and buy a gun that is equipted with a suppressor so shots aren't herd as loud and use a cutting torch to set the bones to ablaze where its nothing but ashes. Sounds awful I know, but you're covered with no remains.

Sounds like my ex boyfriend... can't give a reason for a heads up, just decided to go all dramatic and freak out to get attention. Why not, instead of getting on topix to solve your problem, go to the police station and sit with an officer and explain your situation and your fears? Been there, done that! They do listen! If you need to get an EPO on someone, then do it because that's what it sort of sounds like to me.

That sounds great to some people, they will set, listen to you, put it on a report. They will make out a EPO for you then when you get killed they will make out another report and maybe find the person who killed you. A piece of paper is not going to save you life when it comes down to it. To many think I'll get a EPO and that will take care of the problem, most times it just makes things worse. The only thing it gives is a history if you have to shoot.
