Why does one group of individuals support freedom to choice when it comes to abortions, gays in the military, but not when it comes to allowing a worker to decide if they wish to be a member of a union and keep their hard earned money rather than be extorted and be forced to pay union dues????
Why does a President go to Michigan to disrupt the right to choose? Perhaps this is where he gets vast amounts of campaign funds?

ARREST THIS MAN: OBAMA'S UNION GOONS ASSAULT STEVEN CROWDER

by JOEL B. POLLAK 11 Dec 2012, 12:27 PM

President Barack Obama owes conservative Steven Crowder--and the nation--an apology after union thugs, angered by right-to-work laws passed by the Michigan legislature today, assaulted Crowder several times in the capital city of Lansing, causing mild injuries. One also threatened to shoot Crowder

The man in the image above, who punched Crowder several times, should be identified and reported to police immediately, as should the man in the image below, who grabbed Crowder from behind.

Both should be prosecuted; Crowder also would likely be able to pursue civil claims against both for assault and battery.

**->->Obama traveled to Michigan yesterday to support the unions' protest against the laws, which would->-> allow most workers to decline union membership. Currently, many workers in Michigan are >>>forced to join unions as a condition of employment. Republicans sought to change the law to make the state more competitive.***->-> Right-to-work states typically enjoy faster economic growth, higher job creation and lower unemployment rates.

Fellow >>Democrat Doug Geiss, a state legislator, had >>vowed earlier that "there will be blood" if the legislation passed; he failed to apologize, merely stating that he supported "nonviolence" in union protests. No Democrat or union representative, as of this writing, has apologized for the violence that took place today in Lansing.

>>In the past, conservatives have been held to account for random acts of violence that were entirely unrelated to anything they had said or done. In January 2011, for example,**->-> Gov. Sarah Palin was held responsible by media commentators for Jared Loughner's crazed shooting spree in Arizona, merely because she previously used a political map with targets on it, indicating places where she focused her efforts in the 2010 elections.

In this case,***->->the connection with Obama is direct. He went to Michigan to encourage the unions and oppose the state government; the unions turned out to protest and attacked those who had come to support the right-to-work legislation.

GUESS THEY ARE ONLY PRO-CHOICE UNDER CIRCUMSTANCES THAT BENEFIT THEIR CAUSES.....

Good thing the media doesn't hide news, or bury it to protect unions, democrats....and you people take them as gospel.

SEE NO EVIL: CBS, ABC, NBC ALL IGNORE UNION VIOLENCE IN MICHIGAN

Last night, all the major television networks chose not to show footage of violent union members in Michigan tearing down a tent owned by Americans for Prosperity, or footage of a union member punching Fox News contributor Steven Crowder in the face repeatedly.

I agree. If there was a Tea Party member with a racist sign it would be on all the mainstream news stations ahead of anything else.

Martin Luther King Jr
Speaking to the AFL-CIO on Dec. 11, 1961

Less than a century ago the laborer had no rights, little or no respect, and led a life which was socially submerged and barred.[...] American industry organized misery into sweatshops and proclaimed the right of capital to act without restraints and without conscience. The inspiring answer to this intolerable and dehumanizing existence was economic organization through trade unions. The worker became determined not to wait for charitable impulses to grow in his employer. He constructed the means by which fairer sharing of the fruits of his toil had to be given to him or the wheels of industry, which he alone turned, would halt and wealth for no one would be available [...]
History is a great teacher. Now everyone knows that the labor movement did not diminish the strength of the nation but enlarged it. By raising the living standards of millions, labor miraculously created a market for industry and lifted the whole nation to undreamed of levels of production. Those who attack labor forget these simple truths, but history remembers them.[...]

"Negroes are almost entirely a working people.[...] Our needs are identical with labor's needs: decent wages, fair working conditions, livable housing, old-age security, health and welfare measures, conditions in which families can grow, have education for their children and respect in the community. That is why Negroes support labor's demands and fight laws which curb labor. That is why the labor-hater and labor-baiter is virtually always a twin-headed creature, spewing anti-Negro epithets from one mouth and anti-labor propaganda from the other mouth."

In our glorious fight for civil rights, we must guard against being fooled by false slogans, such as "right to work." It is a law to rob us of our civil rights and job rights. It is supported by Southern segregationists who are trying to keep us from achieving our civil rights and our right of equal job opportunity. Its purpose is to destroy labor unions and the freedom of collective bargaining by which unions have improved wages and working conditions of everyone.[...] Wherever these laws have been passed, wages are lower, job opportunities are fewer and there are no civil rights. We do not intend to let them do this to us. We demand this fraud be stopped. Our weapon is our vote.

I am so glad this has something to do with the freedom to work, and the ability to CHOOSE whether you wish to be a union member, or keep more of your hard earned money.

Unions cost the company, as well as the end product purchaser. I don't have enough money left to pay for Obama socialists and union socialists as well.

So no one is willing to stand up for the unions, the right to exclude other workers because they want to work and retain more of their money ???

You mean that pro-choice is more than just an infanticide slogan, that it allows a worker to share the work site with union workers and not be harassed?

You did a terrible job getting moots elected. You really sucked at it.

Staying on KY topix just shows how lazy you are. Why did you not go out there and work hard like the obama people did?

Your just to lazy to do the hard work. Your AZZ must be stuck in your chair.

Right-to-work laws restrict freedom of association, and limit on the sorts of agreements individuals acting collectively can make with their employer, by prohibiting workers and employers from agreeing to contracts that include "fair share fees". This creates a free rider problem[6][7] since unless non-union employees pay fair share fees, they are benefiting from collective bargaining without paying union dues. Thus, the services provided to them by the union contract are being subsidized by paying union members.[6][8]
In 2000, the AFL-CIO union federation argued that by weakening unions, the laws create a race to the bottom, leading to lower wages[8] and worse safety and health conditions for workers.[dubious – discuss] A race to the bottom can result in low-level equilibrium, where states are unable to raise labor standards for fear of capital flight.[9] For these reasons, unions refer to right-to-work states as "right to work for less" states[10] or "right-to-fire" states, and to non-right-to-work states as "free collective bargaining" states.

I did my part- Rowan county voted for Romney when it had previously voted for Obama. Only 4 Ky counties voted for Obama, less than last go around. Furthermore, more Republicans, and Tea party minded republicans got elected as well as the defeat of Dem. Ben Chandler, a long Ky democratic family name. All-in-all I am product of what Ky has done.

Now you get to face the wrath of what the Democrats have brought to the table- in the state- cigs tax will probably rise to $1 per pack; local mayors can raise their own taxes, and these taxes cannot be repealed. For seniors, the amount of earned income has been reduced before you pay taxes ( I think down from $60K to around $40k) and an additional utility tax ( these have been posted earlier) now for ObamaCare- you just whacked with a surprise $63. year assessment x millions of workers for those with pre-existing conditions. In a few days the 3% Medical device tax kicks in- and this will also influence some veterinary items as well. From hips to Latex gloves prices will rise, and as the end consumer, the democrats have assured that you will pay.

You just wait the cliff shall be a fun experience and combined with the beginning of ObamaCare your fun, sponsored by the democrats, have just begun. Remember jobs will be cut due to the 1 year look back that considers the number of full time workers...working over 30 hrs/week...good luck making ends meet at that hourly schedule.

Sorry for you, my head is into knowing what is going on, and shedding the light on sketchy liars and half-truth mongers such as yourself. And my azz makes it work on a daily basis.

Your wanting the benefits that Unions provide, but you don't want to pay for them. You want someone else working the same work site to to pay and you receive the benefits?

Pro-choice has nothing to do with it, you are infantile it seems from your approach to the subject of Unions, you don't even know the history of Unions in this country or the reasons for the existence of Union Organizations, you show this by your posts.

The term “right-to-work law” is a triumph of framing. Such laws do not, in fact, give you the “right to work.” They give you the right to refuse to pay union dues when you work for a union shop, even though you get the wages the union bargained for, and the benefits the union bargained for, and the grievance process the union bargained for.

Yet you have the right to be coerced into participating in an organization that you do not wish to be extorted by, nor have that extorted money given to candidates you do not support. Thank goodness for freedom of choice- this kind.

They also have ultimate freedom of choice. The freedom to not work for a company that has a union if they find the idea offensive. Leave the union job for someone who will appreciate the pay and benefits that a union job will provide.

Individuals should have the right to work for any company they choose, and not restricted because it is controlled by a union. Perhaps you would feel differently if MSU and St. Claire would only hire catholics-seems to me your options would be quite limited. Are you willing to drive out of town because you "don't fit the qualifications?", or do you want to work close to home with a good salary.

If gays have the right to be in the military, and gays have the right in many states to mary, and heads have the right to buy pot in some states, it seems rather fair and equitable that a qualified individual have the right to be hired in a union shop.

The real crux behind the move is the unions loss of extortion power over their workers, to amass money and to achieve political clout to buy and control politicians. Thus, it ultimately hurts the democrats and the circle jerk of power between the two groups. It frees the worker to support the candidate of his choosing with his campaign donation, should he choose to do it. That is the story behind the thuggery, it weakens them politically.
