Personally I am a little wary of people who don't drink. In my experience usually they are religious fanatics (Baptists, Mormons & Muslims) or are people who are unable to control themselves (alcoholics), or very rigid people afraid to lower their inhibitions and allow their true nature to show. Often there is an overlap of these negative traits.

I know I'm not alone in thinking this. Several writers have noted that you shouldn't trust people who don't drink for a variety of reasons.

What about you?

And I don't trust alcoholics. Nothing but a bunch of small minded fools.

You should also, from experience, never trust anything that can bleed for a week without dying !!

Yours was the only answer I trusted so far. The other seemed like a teetotalling dullard. I'll be drinking to your good health.

Did you know that according to studies, drinkers are on average, smarter than teetotalers?

You have to be the lamest dullard I've (thankfully) never met. Anybody who doesn't drink doesn't deserve any respect.

How can you not drink and be an alcoholic?

Recovering alcoholics don't drink (hopefully) but the will be the first to tell you that they still are, and always will be, an alcoholic. It is a disease that never goes away, but some are fortunate enough to fight it and become sober.

I don't know to function without alcohol. I'm hopeless. I need rehab. Anybody got any money I can have? I need my weekend fix.

Any man who doesn't drink should trade his testicles for a tampon, purse, and lipstick. You are a freak.

Never do that again. You non-drinkers make me sick. Alcohol helped form society.

Because it makes it easier to deal with holier-than-thou moral scolds such as yourself.

BTW, beer has a lot of vitamins, silicon for strong bones and is good for hydration contrary to popular belief.

Anybody who doesn't drink needs a psychological evaluation.

I find it to be sickening that promoting sobriety and a drug-free lifestyle makes you evil to many people in today's world.

An alcohol free lifestyle is unhealthy and unrealistic. Drinkers on average live longer than non drinkers.

Give up, you drunken idiot. Alcohol is not a miracle liquid like you think it is. It's an overrated, and overpriced vice, abused by people everyday. And you are one of those people. I bet your worthless, drunk ass couldn't function without it. That's why you're on here harassing people who may not partake in it. You have my pity, Mikey.

No. I am not trolling. I am giving facts. Alcohol is something that has a bad rep for no reason. Fact is people who drink are smarter and live much longer.

Actually, alcohol, as long as it's not overused, is kind of a miracle liquid. For long periods in human history, the water around population centers was dirty and contaminated and alcohol (granted, often diluted) was the only safe thing to drink. Monks brewed dopplebock by using more grains to provide adequate nutrition and serve as "liquid bread" to sustain themselves through their fasting over Lent.

Once again, the lessons are: moderation and self control.
