Hope none of you are college girls thinking that you will be "the one" for a Morehead cop! I loved one once and thought he was "the one", until I graduated and left and he ended up married to someone else six months later!!! Enjoy MSU and leave everything else behind!!!

or the MSU cops.......make sure they aren;t married. Wives cause a lot of drama. One couple in particular. There are at least a couple girls that know who I'm talking about

It seems some people have had run ins with the law. Anybody that says all cops suck probably has a record a mile long. It's not their fault you did something stupid. Don't get me wrong they are some bad cops out there but most of them are just doing their job.
Maybe, or maybe they have only experienced the "professionalism" of Morehead law enforcement. I don't have a record "a mile long" but before I moved out of town I thought ALL cops were egotistical asses that really enjoyed being turds to people because they could, and not because they were "just doing their jobs". I live in a larger city now and have seen how law enforcement conducts themselves here and I can honestly say I am greatful for the job they do and the courtesy they should citizens. I have had a couple of traffic tickets so I haven't changed my pov because they "let me off" they just speak to people differently here. I think everyone should be treated with some respect and Morehead pd just doesn't do that.

Well not everybody deserves respect and overly nice cops tend to be too weak for their jobs

Just hope when your cop decides to kill himself (as many of them do) he doesn't decide to kill you first. Why not date a decent guy with a real job that doesn't have a dikhead haircut?

I don't date a cop or have any cops in my family but reading your comment literally made me sick to my stomach. Some cops do the job that they do because they actually want to make a positive difference in their communities, to protect and serve. For the ones who do their jobs to help others, I salute you. They deserve respect.

Who decides who does or does not deserve respect? Are you qualified to do that? Where do you get "overly nice cops tend to be too weak for their jobs"? Is this based on some statistical analysis or just more of your convoluted opinions? I don't care if the officer is "nice" or not I would just rather they not be a dick because they can. Give me a ticket, don't give me a ticket either way don't try to talk down to me like you're my father/mother chastizing me. I don't suggest officers sacrifice personal safety in deference to 'gentler' treatment towards suspects. Let's face facts, if you have ever had a reason to go out for something late at night chances are very good you have been pulled over and questioned. Most of the time MPD will make some lame excuse of you were weaving or my favorite,'you were close to the line'. Where I live now I have been followed at night by law enforcement but they keep a safe distance back and don't shine bright lights on me creating an unsafe condition. I am all for drunk drivers being taken off the roads but that doesn't give law enforcement officers a free pass to harass any driver that crosses their path. When my wife was pregnant and in her third trimester I was sent out late one night for something(icecream, I think), I was pulled over for driving 4 miles per hour over the limit and the two officers acted like jerks and made me do a sobriety test and searched the vehicle even though there was no indication of drugs or alcohol. It's this kind of interaction which causes people to have hard feelings toward law enforcement. I was pulled over here at 3am and the officer asked me if I was drinking and I replied negative, he asked what I was doing and wrote me a warning for a tail light out. An all together different interaction.

I personally think it is very amusing the way cops walk around like they are great. They make a very sad pay check and without the uniform they are nothing. The young hott ones are nice to look at but the old crows wearing way to much Stetson...please don't embarass yourselves.

The only ones who complain about cops are junkies, dealers, and other low lives that view cops as the bad guys for busting them.

Yes They are corrupt cops out there and they are a disgrace but most of them are good.

So you admit there are bad cops, but only druggies complain about them? It only takes one bad cop to ruin the reputation of the entire department. When "good cops" let "bad cops" be bad, just what makes them good cops?

I'm not a junkie, dealer or a low life, thanks much for the generalization. I was subjected to accusations and smart ass attitude just because I was out late at night, there really is no reason to treat someone like that just because you can.

The police that patrol Morehead at night are complete jerks. I have seen one campus cop actually comment that he was going to pull over a black driver because they appeared to be "thugs". Beware of the fashion statement you make I suppose. The police at night harass every driver. Don't give me "If you ain't doing nothing wrong" spill, NO ONE SHOULD HAVE A CAR TAILGATE THEM THROUGH TOWN. Get pulled over for bogus reasons, let the pretty girls go and take the guys to jail. Morehead sucks shit!

As a Night Owl I do know there is a stigma against people who are out late at night. This is just a possible problem with police but people in general. They assume since you are out so late that you are into no good.

Cops tailgating people doesn't bother me. I have also seen some pretty girls go to jail. Remember they are a few female cops around here too.

Another thing people don't realize is thy have a Quito of tickets to fill which is one of the things wrong with the system IMO

For me, it's not the tickets. I'm for the police doing their job but when did that job include them talking to me like they are better than anyone or why they are above the laws they are swore to enforce. If they witnessed someone driving as close as they do then that person would receive a citation but for the cops it's fine. To me that's a crock of crap
