This is a part of the corpomed element of the big pharma conglomerated enterprises, offering alternative social environs for alternative social conditioning. Pavlov rings the bell and the salivation starts...counterclockwork big blue...and the perps of the percoset set are collected for revisionary portions of their life narrative. It is made of bricks.

Its a place where we the taxpayers give to drug addicts so they can have a place to stay rent free and draw their drug and crazy checks.

Yeah all those druggies huh, well alot of you commentors should take a look in the mirror instead of harping on other people who are actually trying to do something different with their life. I am one of these guys you cast blame on and I feel alot of the concern but contempt prior to investigation is something you should learn about, I am a convicted felon, alcoholic, and an addict but i dont cast blame on the abuse I suffered growing up or the society who failed to protect me from every beating me and my mother took from an alcoholic father I grew up with alot of anger and rage as far from any god you people could imagine the streets gave me a safe home at least i wasnt getting or watching the abuse, then came juvenile detention witch was another safe place then jail then prison cause yeah i chose to steal or drink or do drugs the streets raised me to survive and to put alcohol and drugs in me help me escape my feelings and who i really was cause the embarrassment of the neighbors watching as the police came to my home and carried my dad to jail over and over that was burned in my memory and shame overwhelmed me. So I put 11 years of my life into prison cause that was that familiar safe place to me, every time id get out on parole id try to maintain and not drink but 5 times have i tried and couldnt escape that drink that lead me back I just simply didnt know how to live with me or who i even was!!! until your M.i.C. and the 12 steps helped me build a relationship with god and showed me the gift of giving instead of taking it feels so great to give without expecting anything in return today and yes I to was one of those guys who volunteered and helped people salvage their things after the floods. I now sponsor alcoholics at M.I.C and employed at a juvenile facility for children who are abused and also have a drug problem. thank god for his miracles, Hey i happen to be one of them.....

Hmm lets think about the question what would Jesus say to these guys and to you who are judging them I seem to remember a story of a woman who sinned greatly in the bible and the people wanted to stone her to death well if I remember correctly Jesus said to the people "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" which none is without sin except Jesus oh and lets not forget that he then said to the woman go and sin no more which it seems like the above man has done so HMM is this MIC a bad place ask yourselves what do the children who are taught nothing else but drugs and crime do to learn how not to do those things if you can do better than MIC at changing lives and teaching lost souls to learn to love God and others give it a shot and quit trying to stop what appears to be God's work in these mens lives

I hear that there are plans to build another building. A condo type building to better the living conditions of the persons who want to live there. Is there a sign up sheet? I mean for those who want to live there? Hello?

You idiot! Nobody wants to have to need to live there but thank God there is a place like that for people who need it! As a recovering alcoholic I know how hard it is. And don't tell me I'm a drain on the system (that you probably didn't contribute to anyway--at least to the level I did), I worked long, hard years & contributed to society even though I was an alcoholic.

I am retired and worked long and hard. It is all about choices buddy. You are the one who mentioned the drain not me. We live with the choices we make. I am just as thankful for correctional institutions for people who have made really bad choices. Nobody wants to be in jail that are in there or do they? Glad you are recovering, glad you made the choice to.

I have read all the comments and I am glad the people that are clean have changed there lives around. However on the Inspiration Center the ones that are commenting from from there past most likely haven't seen this Center has became. They group up wall up and down the sidewalk. If you are a caring citizen you should watch them in front of BP or our Ambulance Service (Out of All Places) and see things being handed into vehicles. They don't even tried to hide the dealing. If our city government and police really want to clean up Morehead then have a shuttle service for these men, so you can control whats happening. Called the city police one time to report an incident and was actually told they are citizens and have rights to (Wow rights to deal and haress underage women) nice system.

For the ones that are voluntary congrats and hope they clean up. For the ones that had a choose jail or the Center I think is a wast of time and our taxpayer dollars.

I really wish people actually took the time to find out about this place before they run off at the mouth. Once you are clean so long you have to enter the community, obtain a job, and began to pay rent for your "phase out". Wow what a drain, people who actually want to work who pay rent! As a recovering addict this place has been a godsend and I don't even live there. I go to meetings because it is the only place that has times that are easier for me with work and all. Never once has anyone said anything out of the way, if anything they have accepted me for who and what I am.

And I still have yet to hear one person defending this place say something about amends... all I hear is "give me a chance" you had your chance, the chance not to do drugs an alcohol. Now you ppl have something to prove to society not the other way around. You live off taxpayers dollars, eat off taxpayers, get medical care at taxpayers expenseand all this after 99.9% of you have stole or commited a crime against another person weather youwas caught or not.But in all this I never hear about making amends to those you wronged, when one steps forward, shuts his mouth, and does some good for the community to make amends and work to regain his dignity and respect without thinkin we owe it to them, then that one ill help and say lets help him,but as i see it now ,we have enough of our druggies here dont need to import more.I dont owe you addicts nothing...not respect, not a chance, not dignity....you owe society and all that has to be EARNED over time. Hey Joe,while you are there bragging about how you changed, prove it and go to the dealer you sold my little girls PS3 and her Barbie Car to for pills and buy it back and give it back to her,and Ill forget and forgive the guns an other stuff you took.

So the person at meetings whose dad gave him shots of whisky at age 6, that was his choice? Or the kid whose mom made her open beers and taste them for her before she drank them that was her fault as well? Wow maybe just once you should go to a meeting and actually hear a story or two. The sad part is your only worried about the money not the life long struggle that these people have lived. Money and possesions are easily gained, a life is not so easy. Perhaps if you weren't so concerned with your monetary gains and more with your spiritual health you wouldn't be such a sad individual. I will pray for you

OH YEA ....Keep your prayers for yourself, there are many places in the bible you apperently choose to ignore.about making wrongs right. like most "christians" you pick only the parts you need or like

Wow you are sad, never once was the bible mentioned in the previous post. Nobody said anything about not making amends, apparently you are using the bible to your screwed up sense of morals but there are also plenty of places in the bible about holding a heart of hate and forgiving others there trespasses. Ever heard of the Lord's Prayer? Yes it is sad that your daughter is afraid, yes my heart aches that she feels that way I am not cold or callus when it comes to a child. You however are only concerned with the money you made, well honey money is made won and lost. I would be more concerned with my child than I would be your precious money. In reality most of the men in that place are nothing but children themselves, never having a childhood. So you hold that hate in your heart and in your greatest hour of need a drunk or an addict will come to help and you will feel foolish. So sad that your only concerned with money, such a pity.

You keep bringing up the money part but choose to ignore the rest, in a previous post i stated i would forgive the material thing that were mine just give my daughter back her things but i guess an addict is more important than a 6 yr old little child. If they want to make amends then how about mowing the lawns or painting the houses ect. of the elderly, picking up trash along the roads, donating their time to help places like the christian social services, dont just live off the taxpayers and attend a few meetings then pat yaself on the back and crow "respect me and like me now" you aint done shat until you make up for the pain and trouble you caused by your own choice to be addicted. And dont give me that crap about abused ect.....I was raised in foster homes because I was taken away for abuse and an alcoholic mother (Dad deserted) I have bleed on my back from the beatings but i decided I would be better than that. So harp about me being concerned with the money, the taxes i pay gives you a free ride.
