Is there anything that the county officials can do to clean up the trailer parks? They are really an eye sore. My daughters and I drove through a couple this week and my goodness. It nearly brought us to tears. The trash and stuff around the trailers was overwhelming. Unkept lawns and damaged vehicles everywhere. I dont think all the blame can go on the tenants there. It should be the landlords responsibility to enforce rules that keep the place clean. Also the county should step in because those of us living in the area are negatively impacted with lower property values.
Thanks

Have you driven out 60 lately? Nasty. There is a junk yard across from Caskeys the last time I was out that way that looked awful. I'm surprised Caskeys Pawn hasn't complained. Don't junk yards have to have a privacy fence? Yes, Rowan county has got some real eye sores. Embarrassing for visitors to see.

Its about time somebody brings this up. Trailer parks are nasty and sorry but trailer park people are far behind. We need an ordinace to move them out. Go to Morgan County.

You are ignorant. I live in Criqueside, and you know what? The only things that liter my yard are leaves and mums. I am not far behind. I am educated, work for a living, and own both of my cars and the trailer in which I live. And most yards in Criqueside are up kept. I only say most because I haven't driven around recently to definitively say that all are up kept. So please leave your ignorant, discriminatory remarks to yourself.

I also think that was an unfair generalization. I don't know where Criqueside is, but I go past Dehardts on McBrayer Rd all the time and it is beautifully kept up. You can tell that the owners of the park really care about it and so do the people who abide there, or at the very least, they abide by the rules of the park regarding how their spaces are kept. There is also one on the way out of town going west on 60, on the left, a large one that is also very neat and tidy. It also looks like it would be a nice place for someone to live. Unfortunately, the big one on McBrayer Rd down by Clearfield Elementary and a couple of others around town give all of them a bad name. That one in particular is an absolute disgrace.

The trailer park across from Clearfield Elementary needs to be cleaned out. Some really abandoned trailors and lots there.

It's also known as Blue Zoo. It's just a little bit up Christy Creek. Very close to Rodburn Elementary school. It's owned by the Mabry's.

Thanks... Just a partial quote from Please. What should bring you to tears is the fact that many people are now homeless. Many people are not able to find jobs that will pay them enough to keep their electric, water or gas payments made. Many people can not afford to fix up those cars that you are so concerned about! You are such a good Samaritan?

Yeah but the problem is for every one that is clean I can find you three that are trash. Look at the three on Mcbrayer Rd. They should be condemned. Look at on the one on 60 East, Planks I beleive. Look at the one across from the Kroger center. Look at the one on 60 West, Jones' I think. Look at the one at the 801 exit. Blue Zoo isnt much to brag about. Look at the one on 519 on the left, Laws. Look at the one behind the Clearfield Elem. School, only 6 trailers but disgusting nonetheless. Those are just a few. I am sure I am leaving some others out. Deharts is nice. 60 west near Lakeside CA. is nice. But there the owners have strict rules. I am sure if you dont follow them you are out. These other joints obviously dont. Take for instance the one across from CES. Disgusting. If you live there and are reading this you should be ashamed. Ashamed. Now I dont always blame the tenants though. Without rules in place you cant always expect most of those people to do the right thing. So alot has to go back on the landlords/property owners. If they had rules and enforced them I am sure most of the tenants would comply. It makes me sad also to look at it. Sad because I cant believe people have such esteem problems that they would let themselves live like that.

Very true statement. I am surprised the elementary school doesnt try to do something about that. Gives the school a bad name.

I have brought it up before. The school I don't think wants to say anything because there are students who line there and they don't want to make anyone mad. But privately they all say it needs to go to help the school.

I try but she is a hoarder, I take a pickup truck load away and she brings two back. I am near crazy because of this hoarding, her leaving things piled up inside and outside the trailer.

I still love her and promised I would not beat her before we got married what should I do?

the county needs to have a free garbage pickup day. like the city, meaning they come and pickup after the home owners gather their junk. the city of morehead does this once a year, no charge.the county does not do this you got to take it in. not every one has the means to do some. loook around morehead its not to clean of a community.

This goes out especially for the person that calls themselves "Please" that started this forum. You say that trailer parks are an eye sore, and that they lower property values. All I can say is "you started it". You bi*ch. And if your a man, you're still a bi*ch. I'll bet you are an old lard ass that rides around on the electric carts at Walmart because you are too lazy to walk. Your so quick to judge folks that live in trailer parks...that may be down on their luck or just plain poor. This is Eastern Ky. you dumb as*, it's not Fu*ki*g Beverly Hills. Your no better than some of the people that live in trailer parks. When you sit your big fat as* down on the toilet and take a big healthy sh*t, it stinks just as bad as the peoples sh*t at the trailer parks...maybe even worse. So the next time you feel better than someone else, just remember that "Sammy Soul" has your number.
To all the other Morehead Topix lovers...I know I'm rude and vulgar...but at least I tell the truth... So look forward to so many more comments from yours truly, S.S.
