It's been a year ago but I got gas there and my car started acting like it was going to die. I was told that Kroger gas had water in it. So my husband got heat and put it in my car. I haven't been back since.

Yeah actually I have 3 vehicles that had idling issues and sometimes would stall or had low idle then surging issues. They all started after filling up at Kroger within the last month or so.. Just the other day, I went to Kroger to fill up and they were too busy so I bought gas elsewhere.
I noticed after just a few days, my idling issues had disappeared..

Never had a problem. Maybe it depends on what grade you buy...I just get regular, but I don't really know why that would happen to some and not others. I do know it happens at other gas stations all over, not just morehead or at kroger.

I know for a fact that all gas stations or at least the ones in area's that have both hot and cold weather, have water in their gas. I know because I use to work at one that had an automatic reader that would let you know how much gas you had in each tank at the end of the day, it would tell you the temp inside the tank and would also let you know how much water was in the tank. The water in the tank is the condensation from the tank heating and cooling during the seasons. If the gas being put in the tank is a different temp than the tank condensation will occur. Disiel seems to have more than gasoline for some reason I have no idea why. The most likely chance to get "bad gas" is right after they refill the tanks, this stirs up all water in the bottom of the tank. Once it settles the water will go to the bottom of the tank as it is heavier than gas or disiel. Now the station I worked at had a shutoff that would shut down the pump if water was detected. I would guess most of the stations in Morehead would have these except for the older pumps. Not saying anyone did or didn't get water in the fuel just wanted to point out that if you did it can happen from anywhere.

I am not sure about just anywhere but I do know that this has happened to me at the morehead kroger station more than once.

Bad gas ruins your engine. I've had a number of people tell me their engines blew up or was badly damaged after using bad gas.

Yea, there is no use of paying for bad gas. I just eat some raisin bran with milk or yogurt. Some eat soup beans, but it all leads to bad gas. So avoid stations with water in the tank and dont put beans in your tank.

Thats so funny, cause everytime i get $15 worth of gas, i have to wait apprxy. 5-10 minutes before my truck will even start, i wonder why they do that

I am glad to see this post and confirm what I have been experiencing every time I fill up with gas at Kroger! I started going there because it was close to work and cheap with the discount but 3 out of 4 times my car would actually stall within a couple of 100 feet from pulling out of the station! It scared me to death. The last time it happened, my car really spuddered the whole way home making me think it would stall again. I thought it was a fluke so that is why I went back the 2nd time and then on the 3rd time, it didn't happen so that is why I went a 4th time but when it happened again, I quit going there for good now. I wonder how we can make this more public to get them to fix the problem. LOL!
