Adult Protective Services are useless. They can see an elderly person being abused or mistreated, they will do NOTHING. You can call and call and call and they say they will check into it and they dont. They dont even go and assess the situation, they IGNORE your call! They LIE. Why is there no agency to protect the elderly? We need an agency that takes their job seriously and care for the little old people who cant take care of themselves!

Well it depends, is it in a nursing home? They don't do any thing in a nursing home what so ever, so if there getting abused by a nurse or a doctor tough luck.
If is outside the nursing home, I assure they will knock on there door, but things may happen you might not expect, they don't really protect any body, they just take every thing the victims got, then put them right back in the home and they have no access to there money, and the social worker controls contact with there family. Aps then takes there land and everything they have to pay for the stay in the nursing home. My advise is if you see someone really being abused, you'll have to help them. Are you friends with the family? Maybe you could offer the victim a place to stay with you. Once you call Adult protective services the victim just gets transferred from one abuser to another.
Once they get abused by adult protective service, whos going to help them? who can they call?
