Okay as a patient of Pathways I have seen many nurse practioners come and go. I have been going a long time and only two of the people filling that job seemed to listen and take it seriously. Not too long ago (a month or so) they had two nurse practioners - Mary Beth and Norm. For some reason neither of them are there anymore. As far as high turnover rate goes - that particular job is probably one of the ones with highest rates. Now - since apparently they can't full time fill the job.) They cram a week's worth of patients in on one day a week. How ridiculous is that? Before the loss of Mary Beth and Norm - your wait times depended on who you saw. As a patient of Mary Beth - you tended to have to wait longer than a patient of Norm's. Sometimes you have to sit their for long periods of time before getting seen. Sitting in the waiting room there would make anyone uncomfortable - so it isn't a pleasant wait. The ladies in the office have also been changing - Brenda is no longer there and sometimes if you're listening you can hear them talking about patients and not in the best way. I guess my point in bringing this all up is this - why have they gone through so many workers - especially nurse practioners? Are they just simply not paying them enough to stay? It sure seems like anyone who if half-way decent at the job leaves quickly. I know Pathways is there to help patients that have low income and have mental health disabilites or issues - but you would think the workers - especially the nurse practioner would be one of the higher paying jobs there. Does anyone know anymore about why they go through so many?

Pathways doesn't pay anyone enough.
