Yeah he needs to keep his job so he can arrest the lady for having a yard sale for money for her sick daughter. So if he had hurt someone with his antics that night, would that have been just a mistake too. The ones taking up for him are the idiots here. Harassing someone over a yard sale while one of their own is out raising hell drunk. It's downright sickening

You are a complete moron. I just explained why he couldn't be charged with the offenses related to the federal charges of tampering with the mail or similar state charges, and further explained why he could be charged with criminal mischief. And no intentional legally means the person knew and understood their actions, intending them to happen. His mental state was impaired by alcohol, those same witnesses and officers would also say he appeared to have no knowledge of what was going on. Again they couldn't prove beyond a reasonable doubt he knew what he was doing.
Dimwit if I am a moron then you are brain dead. Deal with the facts chump, Workman f'd up and he knew it when he attempted to apologize. A bottle of whiskey is a piss poor defense to hide behind. A drunk tearing up shiet happens. Get over it lightweight.

Once you place a mailbox out on the road, damaging it, stealing it or defacing it is a federal crime.

U.S. Code Title 18, Section 1705
Whoever willfully or maliciously injures, tears down or destroys any letter box or other receptacle intended or used for the receipt or delivery of mail on any mail route, or breaks open the same or willfully or maliciously injures, defaces or destroys any mail deposited therein, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

Jailtracker only has him for Alcohol Intox in a public place. He only was in jail one hour and 59 minutes, releases without bond!

WTF????- I guess it really is who you know and who you blow in this world. Say one thing them police fellers really take care of their own. He was still drunk when they let him out of jail.

C'mon guys I went to school with him and he never raped me. He can't be that bad. He's still human even if he did it. Just let him go. Aren't cops allowed a little more leeway anyway? This is silly. I'm sure we all thought about raping someone before but we decided not to. We could all easily be faced with this same charge and it's wrong to charge him with this when we're all guilty of the same crime because we all thought about it, right? Cops have lives, too! They make mistakes and they're entitled to a third or fourth chance because they're human.

Here in the UK, it is an offence, arrestable, to be drunk in a public domain, thus sackable, from the Police Force.
