The apartments beside Arby's are a little pricy, rent includes water/sewage, and are fairly nice. The landlord, Darryl Caskey, is a pretty good guy, fair about his policies. If you want or have pets he will allow them with a non-refundable pet deposit fee.

Clearfield Green are probably your best bet. Rent is only $355 per month, water/sewer runs about $30 per month and electric runs about $70 per month so all you NEED will run you just over $450 per month. The landlord's nice, the places are clean, an all around nice place to live.

Are you talking about Whites rentals? The same guy owns/works out of a gas station on 60?

If so then you are crazy, I looked at his stuff before moving into Clearfield Green and ALL of his stuff was disgusting. Cheap, but not even worth it because of how bad it was.

Clearfield Green is on Fyrl Street, same road as Clearfield Baptist Church. Its a really nice neighborhood, almost like a little suburb. Go drive over around the blocks on/around Fyrl street and check it out.

Oh yeah, and you can have pets at Clearfield Green too. You have to pay a $150 deposit, but it is refundable so if there is no damage you will get it back when you move out.

Has central heat and air and washer and dryer. You will save a lot of time and money by having a washer and dryer in your apartment over having to go to a laundromat.

Yea live in Clearfield Green if you like drugs and skanks and your kids finding needles and drunk/high people all over the place. Lovely place!

Just come to Fyrl Street and see if it looks more like a nice place to live or "drugs and akanks." I am sure you will be happy with what you see.

I don't know what "akanks" are but yea I used to live down in there, um no thanks don't ever want to go back. Nothing like drunks, or people on drugs knocking on your door all hours of the day and night looking to buy stuff.

You lived in Clearfiend Green? You have been for Fyrl Street? It certainly doesn't sound like it. Like I said, it is like a suburb.

I also noticed that you never answered about the White you were recommending. Were you talking about the slumlord Whites Rentals that operates out of a gas station on 60?

I meant to say have been to Fyrl Street.

Also, I obviously had a typo on "akanks." The "a" is right next to the "s" and so I was quoting your "skanks." At least my mistake was just a type, your mistakes are more than likely out of ignorance.

Larry and Cindy Amburgey at Morehead KY Rentals are pretty nice but some of their prices are a little high. DO NOT work with their son though. Larry and Cindy let their son manage a few of the trailers they had to see if he could do it, and I lived in one of those trailers. Worst landlord EVER. He told me that Electric would run about $100 per month, some months higher and some months lower, but average of $100 per month. After I moved in the lowest electric bill we ever had was $200. And we lived there in winter and kept our thermostat at 60 and kept the lights and everything turned off and used those energy star bulbs and everything so we asked him to take a look at it because it didn't sound right, but he said "sounds right to me." So we said what about that $100 per month you told us and he said he didn't remember saying it.

Then, we told him we couldn't afford to live like Eskimos and still pay $200 per month for electricity but he wouldn't let us out of our lease and made us continue to pay rent after we moved out. After paying for a couple of months rent even though we werent living there I had a friend set up to view some places, and I told him what to ask for so that my place would be like exactly what he was looking for. HE DIDN'T SHOW HIM MY OLD PLACE! So I called and asked him about it and he told me that he had not been showing it because he had been doing repairs and he also raised the rent like $200.

I told him that he had gotten the last money from me that he was going to get. He threatened to take me to court and I said "do what you have to do, but I have a witness that will testify that you weren't even trying to rent out my place."

He called less than two weeks later and told me it had been rented.

Larry and Cindy are supposed to be good people, my mom knows them and she thinks a lot of them, but DO NOT let them stick you under the care of their son.

You haven't given enough information for anyone to answer your question. Such as, how many bedrooms are required, must it be pet friendly, do you want an all utilities included in the rent, washer/dryer included or hook-up for one, close to campus etc.. There are a lot of cheap apartments/trailers out there but roaches and crack-head neighbors are included in the rent.
