It has been a long time since I have been there, and would like to go back. I can not remember where the turn is from 519... Can anyone help?

If you are going up 519 once u top the big hill at clack mountain u turn right onto 1274 at the top of the hill then drive down that road my guess would be about two miles and there is a gravel road that cuts back on the right there is a little brown sign at the end of the road about 6 in.x4in. that has the #19 on it i think and jus stay straight on that road a lil ways out is a road to the right jus pass it up and keep going

I'm confused by your directions. My apology if I am incorrect. It is my thinking that you may be refering to Amburgy Rock, not Lockegee Rock.

To get to Lockegee Rock, one would go to the top of Clack Mt on highway 519, turn Right onto the Pretty Ridge (1274) and go about 1 mile, take the road to the Right (goes from Clack Mt to KY 801 at Twin Knobs.)

Once on this road go about 1 mile- trail goes to LEFT to Lockegee. The road on the right goes out to Amburgy.

It is easy to go to 801 to twin nobs. Instead of turning wright on twin knobs turn right on the gravel road accross the way. You go for awhile and will see a wide spot were people park. The trail if I remember is on the left.
Alot of people have fallen off up there, you better be careful.

We went there a couple weeks ago, from 801, yes turn on the gravel road across from Twin Knobs entrance, go about 3.7 miles (we used the trip in our car) and you will see a place to pull over on the left, the trail is on the right though. Much of the easy way, up, where you can go straight up by grabbing tree roots and such, has been washed away. You will need help getting up, go with a group.

Once you are on path ... and get to big rock at end of path (that's Lockoeegee). Go around LEFT side of rock - there is a trail. Its hard to tell you where to go up, but if you look closely you should be able to see where people are going up. Its a gully or split in the rock sort of with lots of roots. Best to go with someone who knows how to get up there because it (the way up) really isn't easy to find if you don't know where it is. Be careful.
