Curious why the local Jail Tracker stays out of service a lot. Other Counties don't seem to have so much trouble. Do we need an up-grade or sumthin?

Why? Do you wanna go on there and see who was arrested so you can gossip about them? They need to delete that stupid site. It is pointless and cause trouble.

You think that arrest records should be private? Seriously?? People who break the law lose their right of privacy. It is part of the consequences of making bad choices and committing crimes. It is also part of protecting the public. Even employers have the right on applications to question about certain crimes. And not everyone looking at jailtracker is doing so in the interest of being "nosey".

I found jailtracker to be a valuable tool. I know few people here, and rarely recognize names. After hiring some local people to do a job and being scammed by the thieving low-lifes, someone told me that I needed to check for them on jailtracker. I'd never heard of it before. It was incredibly illuminating, I discovered that there were a multitude of arrests for the people we hired. They were just plain bad news. Had I had that resource available before hand, we would definitely not have hired them. We now check there before hiring anyone.

Sounds like guilt to me. This site allows us to see if we have a friend or neighbor that we need to avoid. Some of us have kids to protect from people like those on jailtracker. I for one do keep a close watch on it, not for gossip purposes but just to stay in the know. These days you can't trust anyone and if we don't protect our kids, who will.

I am glad for jailtracker and I am even on it! My crime was a misdemeanor possession of marijuana - but think about all the people with larger crimes out there - sexual assault, major druggies, theives, murderers - all that sh*t should be made public so people know that people know what the people around them and in their community are like. People who think it is being nosey sounds like you have something to hide or are embrarassed for yourself or someone you know. You know what though - this is part of if you do the crime you do the time. Honestly jailtracker informed me about some formber neighbors I had and the charges that were brought against them once they were arrested. We had a little inclination that they were up to no good and reported them - years later they got busted and with a lot more than what we thought they were up to. Also you've got to worry about kids - think about your kid talking to someone you don't know is a convicted child molestor at the public park... people should be aware at all times possible of where there children are and who they are around - jailtracker makes it so you can do background checks on shady people. So it works I think in an informative way.

Wow! Get a clue, if a crime were committed against you, I guarantee you'd feel very differently on the subject. Criminals info should be personal? Are you serious? You have kids? Probably not. A younger sibling? Wouldn't it be not so nosey if you found out a child molester lived next door? Get a clue.

Okay you OBVIOUSLY don't know how jailtracker work. Yes there are people on there who need to be seen, but not all of them. Even if you were arrested by mistake or wasn't guilty of the crime accused, they STILL put you on there to be seen forever and be embarrassed. But trust me it's Morehead, KY, they mess up and arrest people on mistake all the time. I've been arrested twice by mistake and someone messing up something on a computer (because everyone up there are stupid). But I'm always going to be on there to be judged for something I've never done and will never do, because of ridiculous naive people like you. If they don't delete jail tracker they need to at least delete people who wasn't proven guilty, because trust me there's plenty of innocent people on there.

You should probably contact them about that if you feel so strongly about it. It might help?

Wrongly arrested? IF your telling the truth that's a lawsuit in itself, and it happened twice??? Dang you should be living the high life. IF you or anyone else has a problem or disputes persons shown on jail tracker there are steps to take to have the persons picture and information removed.

I do know how jailtracker works. I know that people have been able to get their information removed, probably for reasons such as what you have described. But when I check on someone and they have a long history of arrests over the span of several years, I tend to believe what I am seeing. It tells what the arrest is for and the arrest and release date, as well as the amount of any bond charged. So a potential employer is able to look at the information and decide whether or not they want to hire the person. Obviously, there are crimes that hold different stigmas. While I might hire someone who had a DUI, I most certainly would not hire someone with arrests for receiving stolen property, writing cold checks or stealing. If I had known about jailtracker, we would not have had the very unpleasant experience that we did with the group of people we hired to do a job. If you have been mistakenly arrested, then contact them and take the steps to be removed. You would be doing yourself, and someone who might be doing a check on you in the future for employment, a big favor.

I understand what ur saying but what about the people who really didnt do anything but still are arrested and charged. They are alot they do things that need to be public. But I dont see that it should be everyone bs to see wht someone has done only theres and there familys. A person hiring someone has the right to do a background check on anyone. That is what employers should do. They shouldnt be a site to go on an look at peoples family members that maybe have just destroyed there lifes and there familys life!!!!!!!!!!

Lets see uh I have 2 kids. also have a child molester that lives within 10 miles from me. I didnt go on jailtracker to see what he was charged with , I went on the ksp site and searched chilmolsters in this area. Jail tracker dont tell where they live. I have a clue Im not worried about who had a dui or who got arrested for smoking a joint woohoo big deal thats them and there bs,=Not mine and urs to get on there and talk about who is in trouble next week. One more thing I have never been in trouble but yet my name is on jail tracker, it is a differnt person but yet there is no picture of them just the same name. So yes evveryone thinks its me and its not I have had it took off because of people running there mouth talking because ofcourse there on jail tracker being noaey but yet the noseing in the wrong person bs that hasnt done a thing. So yeah I have a clue a cue where morehead should get there shit straight before posting shit that maybe someone else name on shit. and one more thing I have a friend was charged for dui cause she had worked at the hospital 2 shifts and was very tired. Blood test came back and proved she was clean nothing in her system. but yet har picture was on there charge with dui and she had not done a thing. so yeah they post a lot of shit that isnt true. Like the guy on trnt ridge it says murder on his but yet they only charged him for 1st degree indangerment that is along way from murder dont you think!!

Oh yeah one more thing my husband picked his former boss up from a bar 8 years ago. They got pulled over because his boss fell over on him. long and behold he had pot on him and throwed it in the floor board. my husband got charged but later got the charge dismissed but yet if u search it on there it says he was charged for it it does not tell what has been dismissed on people only what they was charged for!!

Guilty by association. We learn that in preschool. Is it fair? No. You and your husband should be more aware of those you associate with. That is a rule that applies to anyone. I seriously doubt anyone has been arrested on false charges. If that were the case they would be entitled to compensation. IF YOU CAN'T DO THE TIME: DON'T DO THE CRIME!!!!!!!!!!
