Not to worry.

The City of Moraine will attract a new, leaner and meaner corporation to fill the vacancy left by GM Truck and Bus.

I say Isuzu would be a great addition to the area. They already build the Duramax Diesel in Moraine.

A light commercial truck assembly plant would seem logical.

I saw a comment by Rhine Mclin saying, "the shutdown is likely to strain community services such as food pantries."

Spoken by a true liberal. Never any aggressive business plan to attract new business into the Dayton Metro area...just a bandaid fix of handouts. I am certain Rhine McLin can get those folks some government surplus butter and cheese.

Wake up Ms. Mayor!

People need jobs! Not handouts!

Don't forget, Rhine McLin cast her "Stuper Delegate" vote for Senator Obama. God forbid if he gets elected. We will have plenty of butter and cheese to eat, although we will be living in tents after they foreclose on our homes.

Well said Rev Dave, Rhine McLin is a typical democrat, always complaining and whining but never does a thing to offer a solution. And if Obama is elected, I'll look for you at the homeless shelter...wait, there won't be any because GM moved out of Dayton...

If you folks are still hanging around that town in 2009, it's your own fault that you are unemployed.

In fact, you are idiots in my opinion.

Most people pack up and move a little more than 3 blocks from their parents when they graduate high school, I suggest that you do the same even though it has been 20+ yrs for some.

You all have seen plants all over the country closing down and you sat in the bars and wasted your weekends doing absolutely nothing to better your employability.

It's kind of your own fault.

Maybe. I dare say that some of these foreign companies who get plants in the U.S. would manage them better. Some of the American ones haven't made it out of the 1950's.(or earlier)

Now HERE is a MAN after my own heart.%^&*(*) libs. They're the ones who helped destroy my home state. And the workers let them get away with it by believing their empty promises.

Guess it's a whole lot easier to move like a gypsy than it is to support new business where you are isn't it.
