Well - It looks like the Bully from Arkansas is actually scared - I am shocked. Walmart owns the courts so they get the lawyers whenever they are really scared. This isn't court though - this is the NLRB - which walmart is pretty confident in getting their way with also but it may not be quite as easy as they think. It is marvelous to see walmart show just a flash of their true colors in public - you don't see it very often. Usually they keep the bullying in-house and under wraps. They must really be scared to come out in the open to try to bully their associates by rattling the legal action sword at the UFCW loud enough so their employees are sure to hear it. I think the have blown off their employees so long and bullied everyone that crosses their path so often that their employees just don't care anymore. I guess that would be fairly obvious by simply looking around at the employees in any walmart store you choose - beaten down, unhappy, trapped and kind of looking through the bars for a way out. It is written on their faces - look at them sometimes and you will see it. Their souls have been drained right out of them - they are just shells kind of clunking around. They could care less if you find what you are looking for - they could care less if you get checked out = they just don't care. Why would they? The sales they get don't help them in any way - they get the same handful on pennies an hour whether the sell 1,000 or 1 or none of any item. I believe the employees have reached that point where they finally realize they really don't have that much to lose if (ok WHEN) walmart retaliates against them. What are they going to do - cut their hours? They already do that without mercy. Are they going to fire them? They already have the highest turnover in the industry. Are the going to pay them less? That simply isn't possible.
What have they got to lose? I hope the employees don't allow themselves to be bullied any longer and send walmart a clear message that they are not just tools - they are people and they can cost walmart money when they realize there are strength in numbers. I won't be anywhere near a walmart on Black Friday and I hope everyone else will stay away and help the trampled employees send a message to the bully.
