I guess this does speak to something about the way the elderly are treated. Why should anyone that old have to work to supplement their income? Really, shame on that.

Just think, perhaps he was having trouble paying for all the living neccessities--food, electric, water, trash, home, medical, etc, etc. Now he will have it all taken care of for him and no more out of the pocket expenses. He may just have the answer for retirement. Brilliant!!

Agreed. I have a friend who always says that if he ends up poor when he is old and decrepit that he will simply rob a bank and then sit down on the bank steps to wait for the police to arrive. Free healthcare and room and board. The guy will be dead soon anyway. At least he won't die alone.

Maybe if Walmart paid their employees better, they wouldn't have to resort to robbing.

Maybe if he would have saved some money at a younger age, he wouldn't have had to work/rob Wal-Mart at that age. Or perhaps this was just a thing on his Bucket List.

I love it!!

After Peopleofwalmart.com . We should start a storiesfromwalmart.com .

Don't forget the old guy who went around punching kids in the head with his keys when their parents were distracted by falling prices. And the fugitive who was hiding behind a Walmart. And let's not forget the woman who stole someone's purse A's she was driving through the Walmart parking lot. Total Awesomeness!

Since Walmart had already taken over the entire economy in thousands of small towns, this may inspire them to take over the entire Penal system as well. Just think...Every lifer who is released from a Walmart prison after age 80 who successfully completes the GRP...Greeters Rehabilitation Program...can be paroled and begin working the door immediately for Walmart to lower unemployment!
