It's been closed for a few years now. They are renovating the building - wondering what they will do with it.

You are thinking of the old Moorestown Pub, and it was Martin Luther King, not Jackson. He lived in Camden at the time and stopped for a drink. Heard the bullet hole in the ceiling was still there but not sure it that is true.

Wildcat and ShaderJo,You are both right-I was thinking of the Jade and the Moorestown pub.And it was Mr.King.I guess I spent too much time in both of them when I was out running the streets.Wildcat just why am I not a gentlmen?I didn't say anything for you to make a comment like that.P.S.I tried to buy the Mill Road Inn about 12-15 yrs.ago but the owner wasn't ready to sell at the time--guess I should have waited another 3-4 yrs.You both take care-have a great Thanksgiving--Mike

Gentleman maddog2008 (LOL)wish it had been sold as it became an eyesore in our neighborhood, and I hear there were drug issues too.

First- Ernest Nichols, the bartender, shot outide the Pub and at that time it was located on Rt. 41.

Second- The Mill Road Inn was located on Mill Road and South Forklanding Road, in Maple Shade. From 1959 to app. 1968, it was owned by Moe and Dom Tomasello and their Dad from Pennsauken. They had a younger brother Michael that is probably still alive. The bar was sold to the Murphy's across the street and the business schreeched to a halt. Since they long ago lost the license, the building and the Murphy house across the street appear to be undergoing renovations, the former bar as an apartment duplex.
