I WILL SAY BRAIN WARD ALL THE WAY, HE'S A GOOD MAN AND HE TREATS PEOPLE LIKE HE WOULD WANT TO BE TREATED, AND I FEEL HE WILL GET THE ONES THAT BELONG IN JAIL, AND THE ONES THAT ARE NOT HE WOULD HELP THEM, HE HAS A HEART. NOW ABOUT CHARLES ARISTIDON HE WAS THE BEST OFFICER, AND DID A GOOD JOD AT HIS JOB, AND TO LET HIM GO WAS WRONG OVER SOMETHING WAS NOT TRUE OUT OF HIM AND HIS X-WIFE WERE FIGHTING CAUSE SHE GRABED HIS GUNS AND HE RETRAINED HER NOT HIT HER, GIVE HIS JOB BACK THAT WAS WRONG, HE WAS ONLY DOING HIS JOB WHEN HE SAVED HIS NOW GIRLFRIENDS LIFE, HIM AND PAT HAD ALOT OF PROBLEMS, SHE LIKE TO HIT, AND HE DID NOT EVER HIT HER BACK, HE'S HAD ENOUGH, SO WHAT HAPPENED, IT HAD TO HAVE BEEN LOVE AT FIRST SITE, OH! WELL. AND THE LADY HE IS WITH NOW WAS NEVER NO METH HEAD, CHARLES IS A GOOD MAN AND WAS THE BEST COP THERE ALONG WITH OFFICER JT,AND JOSH.......

Charles pled guilty to his charge so he can't ever carry a gun or be a cop again. Very sad but true that an innocent man is so tired of the system he just wanted it to be over and move on with his life that he pleads guilty to something he was totally innocent of. Hardy county did loose a good man and deputy. Bryan Ward is also a good man and will be a fair and honest sheriff.

Let's get back to the topic, "Who would be the best Sheriff for Hardy County?". Jerry Moore has an extensive background in law enforcement and is not caught up in all of the local drama. He is the man that will clean up the Hardy County Sheriff's Department. There is an obvious need for professionalism in the Hardy County Sheriff's Department and Jerry Moore will bring this. It's time to stop the neighboring counties and States from laughing at Hardy County! Vote for Jerry Moore, you won't be sorry !

nobody laughing at hardy Co sheriffs office except you and your unjustified and uneducated comments. The sheriffs off is doing twice the work the state boys are so who's laughing at who? As far as Jerry moored extensive background in law enforcement, you better think about that one. His background is solely based on working as a dnr officer enforcing game laws. Oh I almost forgot, he works 1 day a week for mpd. Whoopee! And lets not forget his extensive work working at envirico security with Richie Rich Gerald Smith......no thanks. Bryan Ward is the best man for the job and he doesn't have to make any promises to any wannabe cop rich boys either.

I am amazed at the vindictive comments made by some on this site. Obviously this is the USA and everyone has a right to state their opinion, after all isn't that what the USA is about? I sometimes wonder why anyone would want to run for any political office. Sure the citicism, unjust comments, half truths and personal attacks are not the reason. I have 34 years in law enforcement. I base my recoomendations, not only because I know Jerry Moore as a man, but I know Jerry Moore as a police officer. We have had talks and I know why he wants to run for sheriff. It has nothing to do with money, ego, power or anything of the sort. He wants to serve, he wants to make his home better for all and he wants the chance to improve the quality of life in Hardy County. That's why I support him. And to set the records straight a DNR officer is far more than a "game warden". They are trained as law enforcement officers, the same as troopers and deputy sheriffs and actually beyond because of their specialization. The enforce all laws, worked drug cases, undercover operations and they do so normally alone. While most of us enjoyed partners or readily available back-up, they did not. And even though he doesn't have to Jerry continues to work at Moorefield PD to serve. Partime yes, but not one day a week, he works weekends, nights and anytime they are short handed. It's a small department and they need the help. Ask his fellow officers and they will tell you how they feel about Jerry. And so what if it is one day a week, Jerry has served his country, USMC, his state and Hardy County. He has no reason to be criticised for this. Bottome line..He is a good man, an experienced police officer, ready and able to serve as sheriff. Don't attack him for running, be proud he cares enough to run. Make whatever decision you feel best for sheriff but know when you do you could do a lot worse than Jerry Mooore. I know that for sure.

I don't disagree with you that Jerry is a good man but lets give credit where credit is due. If you sir or ma'am, actually have 34 years of law enforcement experience then you obviously didn't get your experience locally or even in this state. It is under rare occasions that dnr ever works any drug investigations or any other criminal investigations the doesn't envolve game laws. Do they have the training? Yes. Do they use it? Rarely. I do respect your opinion, however, I feel you have been miss-informed by someone.

I do have 34 years in law enforcement, graduated for both the WV State Police Academy and FBI Academy. I am from and have lived in the eastern panhandle most of my life. I will be glad to provide you my contact info so you can verify my credentials.

ok sir I respect that. You should know then what I'm talking about. The dnr doesn't do much around here. At least not much since Glen Cook retired. From what I've been told, everytime Glen tried to do more than enforcing game laws he got in trouble.

To Stop the lying-
No wonder Cook got into trouble. Glen Cook knew about a local man that was a wanted fugitive. He did not make the arrest! That act alone would be grounds for termination from any law enforcement agency. Did you know that he took retirement in lieu of termination (are you able to follow me here?)? You have a poor track record for establishing who is or is not best suited for these positions.

Oh yeah,(just to get you up to speed, it is NRP now, not DNR)NRP hasn't done much around Hardy since Cook left because there is no NRP officer assigned to that area! So get your facts straight!

And by the way, I wasn't laughing at the HCSO. I was defending- but you obviously are too moronic to figure that out. Unfortunately, Hardy County is laughed at by many- not me. But with Jerry Moore, that reputation has a chance to change.

As far as Glen Cook goes I'm not a big fan anyway so who cares why he retired. Besides your speculation is probably just more small-town bullshit that's spread on here on a daily basis anyway. Oh yea thanks for the correction on the nrp name change. Big deal huh? As far as my misunderstanding of your writings, id say anyone who read it would've came to the same conclusion. Maybe if you would've finished high school you would know proper grammer. You seem not to like Glen Cook. Well if you weren't such an idiot you'd realize Jerry Moore is cut from the same mould.

Stop the lying-

You are quite testy! The generation of fabrication started a little over 10 years ago. But I am sorry to disappoint you because I never fit in with those derelicts. Accusations can be very cruel and dangerous. I state what I know to be a fact (i.e. document/situation that I have seen or heard with my own eyes and ears), not gossip or NEGATIVE opinions. You never know when you may have to testify!

I do know that Jerry Moore has EXPERIENCE and I FEEL that he would be fair and professional. HSCO needs this type of leadership and someone to monitor the deputies a little closer (i.e. running a triple I (criminal history) just because they feel like it, harassing someone because of a new significant other and poor call response times). What is up with that? Can you tell me why it takes a deputy 2 to 3+ hours to respond to a call? I understand the distances that one may have to travel, but unless an officer is occupied on a prior call, there is no excuse for that amount of time to respond- they need to be more proficient. And maybe the FBI should audit the HSCO and find out how many triple I's have been done unjustifiably!?!?!

What is up with, as you put it, "Richie Rich Gerald Smith" and Jerry Moore? Not many people like Gerald Smith but what does that have to do with Moore working at Envirico? Moore is just an employee. Please explain.

Calmly, re-read my statement about others that laugh at Hardy County.

And while you are at it, give me factual information as to why Bryan Ward would be a better man for the job. And please try to comply without bashing Jerry Moore.

Now calm down and use your 2 college degrees to assist you in thinking logically before you respond.
