Want to know where the ACLU when they put up the monument? They always years after something is put up and then years later they get involved when it hurts somebody's feelings. I am so sick all theses minorities about screaming discrimination.

I don't think this has anything to do with minorities. The aclu has basically become a joke of an organization with liberal lawyers running things. Oklahoma has one of the biggest dweebs in kiesel. He is an embarrassment.

the 10 commandments have very little to do with our laws. why display them at a place of law?

Because some people cannot be content with the freedom to practice their religion, they want to shove it in your face using the apparatus of the state.

man I've NEVER heard a small group of people cry so much in my life. Take God off money, take 10 commandments off of everything, don't say a prayer before a ball game, and list goes on. Don't you realize how stupid this makes you sound? It really hurts the atheists religion because it just makes people see them for what they really are. A big group of absolute babies.

Where did you read all that on this tread?
I have only asked one question.
Why do we need the 10 Commandments at a place of law?
4 of the Commandments are laws:
tho shalt not kill, steal, bear false witness against thy neighbor, adultery is kind of iffy. your not really going to go to prison for cheating on your spouse, so it would seem the law is on the fence about that one.

The rest of the 10 Commandments are beyond obsolete. they don't even apply to todays society. I have yet to meet a good ol Bible thumpin Christian that could tell me correctly when the Sabbath even is and its at the TOP of the list!

Do you realize how stupid you sound when you obviously don't know the law or where the lines are drawn on this subject, let alone appreciate why such a law is necessary?

Then convert to Islam and move to Iran or Saudi Arabia, and all your concerns will be addressed.

How about the majority quit infringing on others rights, based on constitutional law. Then you don't have to hear the minorities demanding their constitutional rights be upheld. You should be bitching at the majority.

you people are wacko. Only the biggest cry babies in America gripe about the 10 commandments being displayed. Don't you guys realize how bizarre and desperate this makes you sound? The majority has spoken and you are easily outnumbered. Now go back to the drawing board and start putting together your anti Christmas campaign that you bring out every year. America needs a good laugh right now

Having the Ten Commandments at the Oklahoma State Capitol is an insult to Christianity. They might as well print them on the toilet paper they use there too.

Not True. There are a large number of Christians that want no part of hypocritical politics, even in Oklahoma.

You can say your a Christian all you want, but your views point the other direction. You try to use God's Word to prove your better than everyone else, but your only fooling yourself. Try to find a Church that will teach you the true meaning of being a Christian.

The State of Oklahoma supports Capitol Punishment. My Ten Commandments does not. What does your Ten Commandments say?

LOL! Do you think Christianity is based on polls? Where in the Bible does it say God has ever taken a poll?

A Baptist Minister asked the ACLU to file the lawsuit.

well he should be ashamed of himself. You know something is off when you actually have to call yourself "mainstream baptists". Again, southern baptist and any other legit baptist church doesn't want the 10 commandments removed. Only these left wing idiots and atheists want such a thing.

Most all the things you say suggest your not a true Christian. You should start spending your time witnessing to the words of God, and stop being hypocritical and judgmental. We are all children of God no matter what our beliefs are, and because you think your better than someone else doesn't make it true. You should stop making TRUE Christians look bad by spreading your political hate agenda.
