There are already 2 other Super Wal-Marts in the South Lake area! One is on Hwy 27 just west of this proposed one. Enough is enough.

The last thing Clermont needs is the blight of a walmart and the crime it will bring. Kiss any thoughts of upscale goodbye if this actually goes through. Last year Walmart CEO lee Scott said they would would not go where they are not wanted. Now are threatening to sue the Citizens AGAIN to get in. Will Walmart's lying never stop? When will Florida stop being the most Walmart infested per capita State in the USA. This is hardly a plus to our economy. The Feds state every walmart costs the City it is in over $420,000 PER YEAR! Why are we paying this?

I like Wal-Mart. I also like the convenience of buying an item for the lease amount of money possible. I hope they build another one soon and it's in this development. Have you seen some of the stores they have been building latley? Pretty nice looking. GO WAL-MART.

How about some regular stores? There is NO WHERE to get clothing out here except Belk and Kohls. All the working adults where the same clothes!!! WALMART...No more skanky Walmart. I'd settle for almost anything but another Walmart. COME ON...somebody is getting rich and Bella Collina is going to go right down the toilet in property values when the Mart of Wal comes in along the BooseStore! What is the matter with Lake Cty???? Starbucks anyone? Borders/Books A Million/Any bookstore please, Whole Foods Grocery??? A new Seasons 52, EVOS, Great Harvest Bread,...I even like silly old Sonic. Please listen to the PEOPLE. We need to revolt!!!

Ever notice how Walmart builds their store they always put in about 20-30 check-outs but ony have 3 or four open?. They love to get you in the store and do not want you to leave. They could hire more people to stock the shelves and keep the store clean if they did not spend so much money on all those unused registers. Why is there a little desk in the middle of the store in front of the check-outs with 3 or 4 employees hanging around it just talking?

Why does the king of capitalism (Wal-Mart) have its manufacturing base in a communist dictatorship (China). Talk about hypocrisy.

I'll tell you why. It's because China doesn't give a rats ass about the enviornment. They have no OSHA or EPA laws to follow therefore their cost of production will always be lower than a US manufacturer.

I make $6.30 per hour a wally-world with no benefit package. But then I'am retired and really don't need the money. Wally is the most take-advantage-of-you company with all there managers that want and want from all the old people that work there.

So do I. That's why I hire illegal immigrants to do my yard and clean up my house. I can pay them less than minimum wage and they can't complain!
HAHAHA! I [email protected]

That's a joke if you didn't notice. You get what you pay for.

The issue is not if WalMart is a good store or not, the issue is if we need another one. Yes, we all shop at WalMart if we like it or not. People are raising families and living on retirement incomes and every penny counts.

I personaly don't care about "upscale", "high-end"...whateve r. I just want choices, and WalMart is already one of the choices I currently have.

If we are going to destroy land why do it for something we dont need. Theres a Target supercenter a mile from there and a Walmart supercenter. 3 miles. Then another 2 Walmarts within a 15 mile radius. This area is not that super for 5 supercenters.

what's up with the value motel with monthly rates posted like a gas station on Hwy 50? What the hell! This city is starting to look trashy! The downtown area is becoming a ghost town. What happened to all of the character in Clermont and its gorgeous hills?
