At the end of the article, it talks about how Montross got like $500K. "Montross was a town of only 250 people, yet they had a large percentage of citizens involved in the planning process."

STEP IT UP, CB! Instead of hiding behind computer screens and complaining, GET OUT AND MAKE IT HAPPEN.

At some point, the businesses in town who can afford to invest in their future must come forward. If only they would consider improving the front of their buildings (landscaping/signage), drive by appeal, we'd be heading in the right direction.

They could take a lesson from Pearsons Seafood/Mini Storage. They have done a fabulous job with their storefront, especially adding to the fishing/seafood theme which is in character to the town! Terrific what a few pictures, and a splash of paint can do. It has really added some color to Colonial Avenue. Thanks Pearson family.

A few years ago, Pearson added fencing to conform with the town regulation that requires concealing vehicles, etc.from public view. This too was a welcomed improvement. Now, it they would finish the job so that those living on or driving past their border at Livingston would have a barrier from the unattractive industrial view; another eye sore that lowers folks' property value. This would be another step forward.
