No doubt about it, a real good candidate for the trip to Broughton.

Well school just started, I have a feeling she had some sort of nervous breakdown over the beginning of school and just lost it mentally. None of her behavior is rational. If she was at a house, that house has a driveway, that leads to a road, that leads to people. She obviously didn't want to be found or was so confused she didn't realize how simple it was to get out of the woods. Or if truly lost, she would have broken into that house somehow and at least had some shelter and water. That house looks like it probably has a/c, water, maybe some food, and probably even a working phone. So that wasn't rational either. She obviously had some sort of emotional event that she needs hospitalization for.

Exactly. And to think she is supposed to be responsible for teaching children... SCARY!

You hit the nail on the head.

This lady needs some help. Let's pray she finds it before something else happens.

Do they allow just anyone to post here? Posting here should require some intelligence. 5 of the 6 post before this one must have been posted by heartless, thoughtless idiots! And one supposedly retired from the military (at least name indicates that), talk about being scary! At least one has the appropriate name, mean! And for the ribbon guy...well that speaks for itself!

When it's a heart attack, to the hospital we go without hesitation. When it's a stroke, ditto. Tumor? You bet. Trauma, you say? Get those doctors right now!!

But when there's even a hint of any mental issues, the crazies come out of the woodwork -- and I'm not talking about the patient!

It's a public forum, and anyone can comment. While some of the comments aren't anything I would say, everyone has the right to say whatever they wish. This IS America. So, if you're upset by things that are posted, just move on.

Unfortunately they DO allow anyone to post - anonymously. This is the place for cowards who won't sign their names to a legitimate letter to the editor and have nothing better to do than criticize. Sue Taylor is many times the person these people are.
Leave her alone and get a life.

Broughton Hospital lost its accreditation...but I don't guess that makes much difference does it? She definitely seems to need some counseling to try to find out what the reason for this "trip to Black Mountain" was and why she couldn't/wouldn't find her way back. Don't know if we'll ever find out...ACT doesn't usually print follow-ups on most of their stories.

Didn't no that. Needs to be sent some where were she can get help. My ex went off the deep end and when I tried to get her help, the people at Blue Ridge Mental Heatlh just laughed at me and she was given free reign to mentally destroy my children.

One never knows from one day to the next. This lady didn't harm anyone, she didn't break into any houses---seems to me she just wanted to be left alone for awhile. Hell, anyone can understand that.

Hopefully after she gets a little rest, she'll bounce back from whatever has been bothering her.

so the authorities will be charging her for the rescue efforts, right? maybe all those 'friends & family' will be footing the bill?

when i suggested she was loony, the outrage at mention of the thought was borderline fanatical. much wringing of hands, prayers aplenty, fingers pointing at imaginary abusive penis-bearers.

but we come to discover she's just plain crazy. told ya so.
