^ please dont talk if your going to judge people and be a snob. thank you. And if your going to talk about chris and scott like they are not HUMAN BEINGS then please get off this page. you have no business here, considering this page was created to get them more business because they are wonderful artists and deserve more credit than they recieve. they have actually made something out of their lives as artists, probably more than any of the other people commenting on here except tara.

A frighteningly growing number of teens and young adults around the world are injecting dangerous chemicals under their skin in the name of art and self-expression. The chemicals often used in tattoo inks often contain harmful substances such as denatured alcohols, methanol, rubbing alcohol, antifreeze, detergents, or formaldehyde and other highly toxic chemicals. Skin infections, psoriasis, dermatitis and other chronic skin conditions, and tumors both benign, and malignant have all been associated with tattoos. The public needs to be educated as to the dangers of introducing these toxic substances into their bodies. What the average person does not realize is that major chemical corporations are offer behind promoting tattoos so they can expand their sales. If you have a tattoo consult with your doctor as to the safest way to have it removed.

Haha really I have for one never heard of one case to back that up and I also know physicians with TATTOO's!
From the Mayo Clinic:

As if you didn’t already have to worry about whether or not your tattoo was legal–now your ink might make you sick!

The Center for Disease Control (CDC) reports that getting a tattoo can leave you susceptible to at least five different kinds of skin infections if proper precautions aren’t taken. The risks and permanence of a tattoo are why in most places shops and artists need to be licensed, but even licensed professionals can still mess up–and it may not be their fault. How exactly can a tattoo make you sick? Aside from the occasional allergy to tattoo ink, contamination is a big risk. Allergic reactions. Tattoo dyes — especially red, green, yellow and blue dyes — can cause allergic skin reactions, such as an itchy rash at the tattoo site. This can occur even years after you get the tattoo.

Skin infections. A skin infection — which might cause redness, swelling, pain and a pus-like drainage — is possible after tattooing. Other skin problems. Sometimes bumps called granulomas form around tattoo ink. Tattooing can also lead to keloids — raised areas caused by an overgrowth of scar tissue.
Bloodborne diseases. If the equipment used to create your tattoo is contaminated with infected blood, you can contract various bloodborne diseases — including tetanus, hepatitis B and hepatitis C.
MRI complications. Rarely, tattoos or permanent makeup might cause swelling or burning in the affected areas during magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) exams. In some cases, tattoo pigments can interfere with the quality of the image — such as when a person who has permanent eyeliner has an MRI of the eye.
Millions of Americans have decorated their bodies with tattoos. And other than the risk of hepatitis and other infectious diseases, most people think that tattoos are harmless.

The FDA does not regulate tattoo pigments. Those pigments were originally developed to color paint and industrial products, and they’ve actually never been tested in humans for safety. It turns out that tattoo pigments contain toxic metals like lead, cadmium and mercury. And worse, they contain some really bad chemicals like phenol and toluene, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons derived from petroleum that are often carcinogenic. Over the last decade, doctors have started seeing skin cancers, particularly squamous cell carcinomas, arising from tattooed skin.

Chris Todd is an amazing artist, his shop is exceptionally clean, he is very professional, and I have never had better work anywhere else. I would recommend him to anyone. Transfiguration Tattoos will give you much better quality work than any of the others in Marion or Asheville. As for the other comments on here, considering this is a forum about the shop and the service, not a forum on people's opinions on tattoos and tattoo shops, most of these other comments should be irrelevant. If you want to cry about other people's life choices go write a blog or something. Posting on a forum that people who have tattoos are trashy is trashy and ignorant in it's own right. Also, Chris was the one who had to fight the city of Marion to set this shop up, Diamond Thieves and Kudzu just rode his coattails.

I have known Pam most of my life n Chris since Hi School...both are wonderful people! They are constantly trying to give back to the community. Chris is and has always been a wonderful artist. He is even responsible for the artwork for High School newspaper 'Noctural Journal' from the mid ninities. Why don't u bunch of judgemental assholes wake up n realize u judge a man by his character not his tattoos. Stand proud Chris n Pam. Some of us Marion people think you guys rock. Oh, and here is a huge fyi before u judge me as trailer trash. I don't have any tattoos, don't smoke Meth, do have a four year degree from Gardner Webb, own a business, and take care of my Children!

And to the jerkoff that said they are bad parents, those are some of the coolest kids you'll never have the opportunity to know because you're a jusgemental dick.

god fearing here is a few verses for you , thanks for giving Christians a bad name , which sir you are not to began with you can not pick what parts of the bible you like .JOHN 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
JOHN 8:15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man
JAMES 4:11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

The history of the tattoo is pretty simple in many warrior cultures the tattoo was created to tell the story of the warrior who worn them and in some Asian cultures tattoos is sort of like your resume the more tattoos you have the higher ranked you are with in your profession......that dont sound like trailer trash to me. And considering the work that both Chris and Scott do ......I would consider it ART.

I have never supported Obama, I am a Christian, I go to church and believe in my Lord Jesus Christ, have kids I take care of, full time job, do not receive food stamps or benefits, pay my taxes, own my home and guess what I HAVE TATTOOS AND LOVE ALL OF THEM!
