What a great kid! I volunteer hours at our local schools and encourage my children to do so too! What if all the kids were like Corey and then grew up to be useful members of society! My congrats to you!
There are many adults that should take a lesson from Corey!

I also believe that there should be mandatory volunteer hours to graduate from ALL high schools. It would be a good thing for people to make community service a HABIT.
I feel strongly that teenagers would benefit from a lot of hours in volunteering in an emergency room. They would soon find out what the REAL world is like. And they would soon start to appreciate their health and their LIFE.

Wonderful article, Corey.
Having worked in an ER, I can testify that it is a real world experience. Like the 17 yr old guy that wrecked while he was drunk and high; his comment was "Man, I'm flying! Like Superman!" Considering he's now quadraplegic, I don't think the flight was worth it.
