This is good news for Vermont. This project is listed as a MW wind farm so with the average output of 25% that we get from Searsburg. These windmills will supply about 10 MW's.

So build 60 of them and we can retire VY.

NSD is going to hate me...

That is a problem with renewable energy sources. While noble, the numbers don't add up.

Congratulations, you are now the equivalent of Eric "The Ignorant Homophobic Bigot" Stanson.

I see you still haven't bothered to learn anything about decommissioning funds.

So much for the liberal "elite"

I can't tell if this is sarcasm.
Why would you want to live in a state that stands for everything you are against?

You mean like no gun control and lots of rednecks, or is that what you're against?

Oh, I've heard your propaganda. I've also seen the numbers, the difference between the projected costs and the money in the decom fund. So why would I believe your propaganda? Aren't you also the one saying the NRC is unbiased and would NEVER relicense a plant if it shouldn't be? Hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, that's a lot of exclamation points, you must be serious.

I guess you don't understand the time value of money, you are certainly giving the liberal elite a bad name.

I could point out the numerous relicense applications that were withdrawn, sent back, prolonged because of numerous RAIs, etc. but facts like those would only fall on the deaf ears of a true ideologue.

I guess science and government are only good if they support your dogma, eh?

Republicans are against going green, hippies, holistic/ organic non-corporate products, people who think differently, preserving the environment, health care, peace, etc...basically against everything Vermont stands for...so..I don't get it.

You have fallen for a stereotype. Vermont doesn't "stand" for hippies. Conservatives use naturopathic medicine, promote small business, and work to preserve the environment as much as anyone.

The difference is we don't worship Al Gore and take hostages at the Discovery channel because of it! We approach things in a more conservative way. Many things the left is doing are not working.
Since the democrats took over Vt, in the last few decades, I have seen it go down hill. It has become a playground for rich liberal elitist snobs from the city and the native democrats carry the water for them. They moved up here to get away from everything they didn't like about their state and then promptly changed our state to be just the same as the one they left.

I applied for a job for the project in maintenance. I researched the town of St Johnsbury. It looks like a great place. Im from Cleveland area ( Chardon) so Im used to 100 inches of snow a year. That transition will not be hard. The cost of living is a little lower there so that's good. I bet food and gas are higher do to location. I was just wondering what is the local opinion of the employees of these companies and projects. It is good for pumping up the local economy due to having more consumers and tax payers. I hope I get it. It is just the type of town I would love to live in and retire in. Its awesome looking.
