I like that Patricia Blair, and Gerry is a great guy too. I'd love to see one of these or both get in. We need some down to earth good old common sense in there! Good luck.

Why do you like Blair? Common sense? What happened to Blair's 10 month push for fetal protection laws? I guess she hopes that if she doesn't talk about it people will some how forget that she is a single issue candidate and actually vote for her. We need someone who knows what they are doing and that person is not this angry revengeful mother how has only one thing on her mind.

If term limits are such an issue with the GOP against the dems why is it that the same GOP is backing Mary Morrissey for an eighth term? Is it your contention that it's a problem for the dems and not the reps? You people don't make any sense. Good luck in 2010 because you are going to need it.

Thats funny that the GOP dude didn't answer. Thats what the GOP is all about. Even given all the time needed to come up with an answer they still don't answer. Oh and That Blair is a nut case. For almost a year all you heard out of her mouth was Fetal Homicide bills and laws and now you don't hear a peep about it. I guess she thinks we are either stupid or have short memories and don't realize that she is a single issue candidate. Everything else she is supposedly for is standard GOP candidate programing. Blair wouldn't stand a chance in a public debate with the real senate candidates who will win this election.

actually there is nothing funny about idiots running for senate seats. no education, experience or plan are the first signs of trouble. we can't afford change like that in these troubled times.

So what happened to Go GOP? All talk and no action? Why is she so great? Because her one and only agenda is fetal homicide? You know, the one she doesn't talk about any longer.

bring on the debates..........

with only 186 votes why bother running?

just in case someone was thinking about calling me a liar here are the results

http://www.bennington.com/town/elections/resu...

winker gates got more votes in the primary when he ran back in 2006.

http://www.bennington.com/town/SeptPrimary06T... (2).xls

well i guess 186 is better than the 18 people who took her poll and the hand full that contributed to her campaign but up against 862 for bob hartwell and 1250 for dick sears she doesn't have a chance in the general election in november.

boy that anti gay marriage and prolife special interest campaign contributor scott fitzgibbon from belmont, ma is going to be peed off when he doesn't get a return on his $1,000 campaign contribution investment.

at least blair will have free food for a while longer.

keep pouring money into that sinking ship fools.

We need government knowledgeable, qualified people in these positions and I believe that the votes absolutely show that Blair and Woodard don't make the cut.

Perhaps you should check out her website. I thought she was a one issue candidate until I heard her speak, not to long ago. I would not describe her as " angry revengful mother" (that is an assumption on your part-shame on you). She has far more substance that. I have not toally settled on voting for her, yet, but I am willing to listen and learn more about her and the other candidates.

Don't you read the papers, I guess you must as you are commenting in this forum. Perhaps you missed the paper the day that the person that caused the crash that caused the death of Ms. Blair's twins, was convicted and sent to jail. On that day Ms. Blair stated that she felt that "justice had finally been served" and the "system worked". So no need to go further. Incidentally you would probably reacted very seriously if it had been your child/children that was killed and disabled her husband for life. Bet you would have been one heck of a "nut case". So don't sit so high and mighty with your judgment.
Ms. Blair, I doubt is no more programmed by the GOP than you are buy the DNC. Wake up it works both ways!!!!

I have often wondered that same thing. There is also Patty Komline running again in Dorset. On the DNC side we have Alice Miller, Cynthis Browning and BIll Botzow. The other thing I wonder about is Mr. Leahy, 36 years as Senator looking for another 6 years. He has come out in favor of "Term Limits" recent article after the election. Seems neither side is really interested in "Term Limits" only talking about them.
Oh Well!

OMG there goes the ignorance again. There were more Democrats that turned out for the PRIMARY because they had more choices to make (if you had voted you would have know that). The Republican turn out was small because they only had two slots with more than one candidate. The 862 and 1250 for Hartwell and Sears were Democrat votes only. November will be the real test. If Sears wins, I would be happy, he has done a fair job. Now Hartwell well that is another story. Problems there.
Now as to Dr. Fitzgibbons $1,000, oh, wait he is "anti gay", right? So then that must make Ms. Blair anti-gay right? Well let us take the logic you used and apply that to Mr. Sanders. The Vermont Liberty Union heavily endorses Mr. Sanders (yes, I know he is not running right now). The VLU is an arm of the Socialist Party USA, which is an arm of the World Workers Party, which endorses John Parker an avowed communist for President (source, the net-look it up yourself). So using your logic/reasoning one can conclude that Mr. Sanders is a communist, right? See how convoluted it can get, when one takes uninformed leaps?
As to the $1,000, you do not have a clue as to the cost of running a campaign do you? When my brother ran for elected office some years back, his signs alone (simple one's) cost more than $1,000, no free food there.

May I suggest that before you make a leap that you do some home work and just not accept what you read/hear/see and get the full story.
Oh, and don't even try to make a leap as to where I am coming from-you will be dead wrong either way. I do not leap without checking the facts and the facts take me where they want to, not always where I would like them to.

P.S. Don't you know how to use the shift key to capatialize or don't you have sufficent grasp of the language to know when to capatialize?

I have personally been to the website and she and it says nothing of a plan or what she is going to do if she becomes a senator.

Where did you hear her speak not to long ago Reality Check? What did you hear her say? It seems like you want us to think that you know all about her but you never say anything about her or any plans that she might have. She doesn't say anything either. Please tell us what you think her plan is? I'm asking for your opinion. Why would you vote for her? Question to Blair why should we vote for you?

As for Fitzgibbons that will play out and become obvious to everyone. No need for logic when it's right there in black and white in your face. No need to believe any story. The facts will prevail and the true story will present itself. Fitzgibbons is anti gay marriage and prolife and that is a fact.

Sanity here, don't you read the papers? If Blair stated that she felt that "justice had finally been served" and the "system worked" why do you think it was it in the paper that a civil lawsuit was filed against Cook? I'm asking your opinion. Question to Blair, why did you do it?

Blair is being programmed by the GOP otherwise she would have had ideas and plans and would have been talking about them before, during or shortly after her candidacy announcement.

Inquiry Mind you heard that there is a Bennington County senate candidates debate October 7th? Where, at what time and where did you hear about this?

While reading today all I can think of is Reasonable Doubt. You wannabe lawyers sure have done your part in the scheme of things. This isn't TV though. This is the real world where real things either happen or they don't.
