DONT DO IT THE NEW OWNER IS AN ...!We went there Sat. night Feb. 11,2007. We ordered a small steak that was suppose to be 10-12 oz. I got mine and you could almost see through it if it was 6oz I would be lucky. My boyfriends was a little bigger but it was 90% fat. I swear to you its the truth. We called the waitress and showed her. She asked if we would like something else and we told her no we were already dissappointed. She told the head waitress to come see. She said we'll only charge you $8.50 instead of the $16.95. For a baked potatoe & salad? I asked her to call the owner. Which he didnt come at that time. We over heard the waitresses arguing, because our waitress was going to pay for it because apparently the owner told her she served it so she was responsible. What about who cooked it? We refused to let her pay for it. Dont get me wrong the service was great. The owner happen to come into the resturant when we were talking about it. I asked him to come and see which he did. He said why didnt you send it back. Dah! When a steak is cooked you cant tell its fat until you cut into it a few times. He was VERY-VERY rude! He shouted at the waitress to tear up their ticket their broke anyway! I responded Im not broke and he walked out before anymore was said. Believe me I'll never spend another dollar in his bar or his so called steakhouse ripoff again and I'll let everyone I know to not go there. There was no call for his attitude!!!!

I know your right Virginia, we use to eat at the old steak house also. The last time the steaks were terrible and we said we would not go back, they have a great opportunity to have a good resturant if it was owned and managed by some professional people. The area could be a great place to visit and promote because of the western atmosphere.

We used to eat there and go see bands etc. Last time we were there we were extremely disapointed. We'll never go back again. I used to belong to a western riding club as a teenager and on our way back from events or trail rides our club would stop there. We all had tons of fun. Those are just long lost memories now. My kids only saw the terribly bad side. It's just a shame.

It's a shame that a few people in such a beautiful part of our state who have made a good profit from there family tree can treat the new people like they do. They should try and be compassionate to the people who visit there country town.

I bought my last pair of Justin Boots in Mt. Pielier. And I love the people there. Let's agree on that, that a few cannot wroughin it for the rest of that beautiful country town. People get rich from there parents reputation and integity and think they are better then we who got them there.

We're already into December, so it's time to do some serious thinking about your festive preparations. How are they coming along? If you haven't even started them yet, there's no need to be gripped by a senseless panic.
