whoever did this is not human. the man that died had a mother & father, sister, son & fiance. the law is that if they come into your home, then it's self-defense. was it really self defense? the man shot didn't even get out his vehicle. did the people that shot him go into their home & call the police. i hope who did this rots in HELL.

This was a set up. People were hiding in the bushes and started shooting, How can you call that self defense. The man had no chance, he didn't even get out of his truck. I hope the killer rots in prison and dies slowly. The person up top is right it shouldn't be second degree murder, it should be premeditated murder. I hope the police arrest allot more people in connection with this, they too should rot in prison. What a senseless death of a young man that had his whole life ahead of him. His child will go through life without a father...for what????

God Bless that poor boy's soul.... NO ONE especially Fred wanted him dead. But he wasn't innocent in all of this. He KNEW he was going to their house for some sort of altercation. It is self defense if you and your mother, wife, and three young children are in your home minding your own business and someone come by shooting up your house and you go to defend your family and property. it is within the constitution and within his rights as a US citizen.

Let me tell you ignorant yankees one thing. For one, not everyone down here is an uneducated hillbilly redneck. Those young men were not on their property, they were in the loop in the road, with no guns what so ever. So, "Free Fred", you're the ignorant uneducated one that has no earthly clue what the hell you are talking about. They were ambushed, the ones that were in the wrong were hiding in the bushes, so FRED should get 1st degree murder, but just in case you do not know what that means, that's premeditated murder. After the shooting ended, your buddy and his friends beat one of those boys while he was begging for his life and beat the lifeless body of the other one. So don't talk your bullshit about him being innocent, that was purposeful and they intended on killing all of them.

no one really knows what happened there except the people that were there. the truth is that everyone that was there, their lives have forever changed and i bet they would all take it back in a heart beat. if someone came to my house shooting at me or my family i would do anything i could to protect them. as a mother i can't even bear to think of losing my child.

nobody knows what happen but for those who think they know everything u should really get the facts b4 u judge looks like to me self defense and yes i know these people Neighbors say they saw more than a dozen trucks zoom down the street. The passengers jumped out of their vehicles with guns, bats, and iron bars and immediately started fighting. Residents of Long Leaf Drive say violence around these parts isn’t anything new. Neighbors say they knew trouble was brewing so they alerted law enforcement. Around 8:00 last night the cul-de-sac was packed with people. Kathy Bigner lives nearby and explains,“There were about 13 trucks. They had people in the back, guns everywhere.” No one really knows why the brawl broke out, but what we do know is at least five people were shot including 23-year-old Trent Stewart who was pronounced dead at the scene.“I called the Sheriff and said do you take me seriously now, as the shots were going off in the background.”

Thats why i refuse to let my husband to assocate with them low lives. thank god the ones we know parents r in chicago, cus if not they would all be dead too. Fred saved the lives of many people. Family and friends. The dumbass that died was down there to fight with 15 trucks of people and had nothing to do with why they were fighting. He was shot by a pistol. Fred had a shotgun. Who really shot him? His own friends who he went down there to fight with. He put his self in it. And sadly lost his life over dumb ass shit. Not drugs, a fight over a woman that happened a couple of months before this incident. If one man could have took an ass whooping fairly that he clearly deserved(months before any of this)then this could all have been prevented. But no, he results in "jumping" some one. If you cant fight one on one and accept what ever your outcome is then you should not start more shit. If the guy that got caught in the crossfire was so innocent then why did he go down there??? He should have been at home with his son and fiance. Not out and about threating the lives of other people he did NOT know. As far as him sitting in his truck. Ever stop to think he got back in it while trying to leave during a shooting that resulted after people jumped out of vehicles with guns, pipes, and other weapons. Clearly out numbering Fred and the others that was at his house including children and mostly girls. When you go looking for trouble thats exactly what you get. Stay away from your enemies house. Thats the dumbest of all of this. Self defense for Fred. FREE FRED! A Real Hero!

Fred is my son-in-law and he is innocent!!! He went and told the whole truth about everything and he was shot by someone and they haven't been charged yet! They will get that person soon. Grant me!! Phil Ory JR. is the starter of everything that took place. Fred was at his own house and they came to him at a dead end street, so that tells you who was looking for the trouble. The police was called,but didn't arrive in time. The guy that was killed my heart goes out to his family, but he also knew what was going to go down. My daughter WAS NOT sleeping around on Fred so whoever wants to say that, you don't know what you're talking about. Fred would fight one one one b/c he's a man, but the chicken a$$ Albany and Hammond people don't!! So talk crap somewhere else. love you Fred
