The reason i ask is I have traced her back as my 5 great grandmother. Through the Troxell Line. I have read alot of the stories online but have no actual proof.

To be Honest though Most original settlers and their descendants that Have Native ancestors , Most are In some way related to CornBlossum, Doublehead, and the LongBow Cherokee Qui-Quay Hunters. Im Only assuming Your last name is Jones, mine isnt, But if My assumption is correct , we are distant relation, I'm related To a LOT of people here in Wayne County, My great Great Great Great Grandfather was a Local Tribal Elder/War Cheif / Pimp

His Name was "Me-a-Ho-Ney-Eitch-Eh-Tay -Washa-Ella-", which is Cherokee for, "Sharp dressed Brave riding on Fancy Horse with Large Wampum Club".. Thats Right, My PawPaw was an Indian Pimp, an OG-Pawnee from the Valley, he was originally from the SLAP-A-HO-N-KICK-A-BlTCH Tribe.

Recognize !......*tosses* up ancient injun War party smoke signal Gang Signs..!!! Word!

LMFAO But seriously, Most people in Wayne County that have Native Anerican Blood, One of the 5 proven Indigenous Tribes Located in the Cumberland valley area (Cherokee,Crowe,Blackfoot,Pawn ee,Cree), they are distantly related, with a LOT being through Princess CornBlossum and her Father ,Chief DoubleHead, I research /read about it online, occasionally from time to time when im bored.:-)

LMAO that's hillarious!

Everybody you meet around here are cousins and all claim that Corn Blossom is thier ancestor in some way or another. Seems to me they're keeping the heritage alive by going in a circle (inbreeding).

Yes, she did exist...and she is an ancestor of mine as well...5th great grand mother to be exact. Yes there are many families that are related thru the Doublehead line, but they are definately not inbred, as that was very taboo in the indian culture.

My goodness. One cannot even ask a simple question for local history before some person has to make something ridiculous out of it. For your information, if you can prove that you are 1/16 th native american, you are eligible for numerous government grants. What if you are laughing at someone's search for answers when you might be sitting on a gold mine...the last laugh will be on you....

Hi Sir,
Are you familiar with any Troxell's of the Oneida area?
I am related to the Troxell family of Kentucky and Tennessee.
My family history has mentioned our being related to Cornblossom
and Big Jake.
If you are familiar with the Troxell family...do you have
connections with persons who are likewise related, and
familiar with Cornblossom, Big Jake, and the Troxell family?
Thanks for taking time to view my email, and replying back to me!

You are at least speaking on the right. In Kentucky for example, if you can prove 1/16 Ancestry of an Indigenous Tribe, You can receive Hunting and fishing License,(with deer, turkey, and trout tags/stamps)You have a better draw in the quota elk hunts, you can Legally Hunt and Fish where others cannot.( and if You use Primitive weaponry such as a bow, non compound, you don't even need a deer tag, btw) On some species of game & fish Bag /creel limits do Not apply to you, Also, you have better access to certain government grants and interest free loans ,grow personal use peyote, are tax exempt such as the menonites and the amish.

Sadly, so many people in this area Just want to be "famous" and feel Important and Special for something or for ANYTHING ,for that matter, regardless of HOW minuet it is. If someone is even a 10th cousin by marriage related to CornBlossom, they proudly "lay claim" to that fact.
It's like the guy that claims to be related to Kid Rock..come to find out though, He was a 5th cousin by marriage to that one guy that was married to that 1 girl that was previously married to that other guy whose step-sister in laws 4th cousin on her step-moms side that was married to Kid Rock's ex-wife's step- sisters, brother.. did you understand all that ? LMFAO good ..

CornBlossom is kind of like our own personal, private Sasquatch ( Big Foot,Yeti,& the Abominable Snow-person)....Some people say THOSE creatures exist, others say that they dont , it all depends on who you ask, ya know what i mean?..... ANYONE that can even remotely claim relation to her(either by blood or marriage) will do so, if only to do it to try and 1-up, or seem more special than anyone NOT related to her. It's Not like being related to her makes You a part of a secret Club or something that sends out X-mas cards & a "CornBlossom Newsletter" every month. LMAO
