Has anybody seen a very large black cat on 92 close to Wayne/McCreary line? We saw what appeared to be a large black cat about the size of a german shepherd.

I saw one out on HWY 776. If you go out past the park and take a left at (what used to be) Dick's Saw Shop. Go out that road and take the first left into a subdv. Saw it there in a field. It was bigger than a German Shepherd though. Looked like a panther. May b the same cat. Came upon it and got a very good look. Also was very scary. It was BIG.

Alot of people have saw the same this around Ray hill, over around Pond Rd. It chased behind me on a 4 wheeler one time. definatley some kind of big cat. We found a rockhouse way up on the hill that looked like something had been laying there, probably where it sleeps.

I would really love to see one of these cats. I'm sure they are nothing short of beautiful. When would be the best time to look for them? Early morning or late night? I don't know, but would love to see one out.

You guys know that main stream science says panthers do not exsist.I have heard storys myself but they say they are no panthers .So next time take pics or video and you would be famous . The only big cat i have seen was a bobcat but it was only maybe 2 feet tall kinda small and brown grey colored.

I have several witnesses that DID see a large brown cougar on the Obie Ridge going toward Tennessee from the Pisgah area late last fall! I'm not the only witness to it, I did report it to a university that wanted reported sightings of the big cats! They are majestic and huge! Beautiful creatures!

I had a close friend that lived on stonewall rd and he saw a black panther on several occasions. he was on foot walking and he said it walked right down the road. There was no doubt that it was a panther. way too many people verify this so I know its true. I also heard a panther scream when I lived up in Dennys Gap. Sounded like a womans scream.. Deffinately not an Owl. I know the difference.

i know my grandaddy always talked about seeing them when he was out squirrel and rabbit hunting down around yamacraw and the south fork back in the 1960s. his word was true and there was never a more honest man. he had no reason to lie to us about such things. we took it for granted to watch out for them when we was out playing down there years ago. he calle them painters. them and those snakes down in there was a real scare to us kids. we heard screams more than once on one night and it werent no woman or kid screaming. we was camping up near rattlesnake ridge when we heard one and there wasnt no one else around or we would known about them. you didnt coon hunt and not let no one know you was there or at least you would hear them dogs barking for a treed coon. you would get killed by mistake back then with not having to wear a vest and all. even my grandaddys coon dogs went quiet when them cats screamed that night. they knew it wasnt no person making that noise. about scared us into begging him to take us home it did.
