I'm very excited about the new steak house. And I really hope people on her can act like adults when talking about this. I hope when this opens we don't have the Mexicans from the other restaurant working here such as taking orders and cooking our food for sure. The reason I'm saying this is because it's takes someone that can taste the food such as Americans to understand how it needs to be prepared for us to eat. Just like it takes Mexicans to fix the food they fix. We can't fix Mexican food just like they can't fix American food. I really hope it does well because we need somewhere else to eat. And I hope they keep that cook they have up there at the other restaurant AWAY!!!!!! Come on give us some good food. Run it the way it should be and watch out!!!! ;)

I am sorry but I disagree with several of your statements. you do seem to be "different" in regards to Mexicans and probably other nationalities. I don't see how you can actually "run down" these folks when you really don't see who is cooking your steaks at the American steak houses. YOU might be surprised to know who is cooking your food.

I understand our new steak house may open by Labor Day. I think it will be great.

I think our empowerment zone and city and county leaders should have got off their buts long ago and brought more business to our community. No wonder there is so much theft, druggies, and evil things going on in our county and city.

I believe the "empowerment zone" thing ended several years ago. seems that you imply that our city and county leaders should have gotten off their butts to bring in more business. do you speak of food establishments or any kind? I truly don't know what they could have done the past few years with the Obama economy as it is.

I guess you could be correct about the gregory zone. Oops i meant empowerment zone. But look at our ghost town. Lets see I spend a great deal of time traveling and I see pulaski is growing at a steady rate and clinton has doubled in size. Not to mention Mcreary has held its own. And then there is all the towns in tn. Hmmm Yes,I guess you could say its our city and county leaders. And yes any kind of business. We have had at least 3 or four reasturants leave our area. And alot of talk about another company in the red so bad they are going to have to file bankruptcy. But we must not forget about obamanomics. The complete and utter failure!!

First, not a huge Obama fan, but I will say I have more money in my pocket than I have since Bill left office. And, yes, I work. I draw nothing from the government. In fact, just the opposite, I pay in.

Secondly, if they do hire white people as servers and cooks at the new restaurant, I hope they can wait tables and cook as well as the personnel at El Cazador. Also, I hope they are as presentable and clean cut as the servers up there.

Now for my soapbox:

Honestly, people! Are you serious about the cooks needing to be the same culture as the cuisine? Do you truly think that only people from Italy can cook Italian? I don't see many Italian cooks at Pizza Hut or Dominoes. Should I go check the kitchen at Tumbleweed's to see if the cooks are all of Mexican descent but born in Texas. Otherwise, I suppose I'm not really getting Tex-Mex. Do you mean to tell me that Yankee's can't cook grits?(on second thought, that might possibly be true.) Dang, Paula Deen better recall all of her books from anyone living north of the Mason-Dixon who bought them or she'll be accused of fraud. What a revelation! Please somebody tell me this was started as a joke!

Black Stallion is not a good name for a steak house. Black Angus would be a better name.

BLACK STALLION is a terrible name!!! We are not french!!!! We don't eat horse meat & that is what the name conjures up. Hope they make it simple like Monticello Steak House. Did hear they hired a chef from a steakhouse in Lexington.

I just googled "Black Stallion Steak House" and you might have to have a couple of full time jobs to be able to afford a dinner there.

Can you please post the link? I, too, googled. The only thing I found about the Black Stallion in Monticello, KY was the address. All others were in different states.
