our speedy ems service that cant ever get there on time and cant read a road sign i know a guy down old bethel church road thats the road that cuts off from 1009 he had a seziure and wasnt breathing at one time it took them 40 minutes to find this road and when they found this hard road they passed 3 people standing beside the road went 1 mile and a half down the road while his uncle was on the phone with dispatch and he told them that they passed us up and them standing beside the road the one dispatch told the other they passed them up are they crazy then they finally came back walked in the door and asked his name and walked back out the door his family members had to pick him up and take him to the ems themselves then, three weeks later, today sunday they got a call with an unresponsive person it took them so long to get on the right road it took them 4 times to find it the old bethel church road that hard road they cant ever find by the time they finally got to the fellow he had done passed away so i think that bubba corder should get them out and learn them the roads or learn them how to read one i dont know which its a shame they cant get in a hurry like they are supposed to. It looks like the fiscal court needs to wake up and get these idiots training before they get a lawsuit on their asses instead of sitting there pocketing taxpayers money they should be worrying about getting better 911 addresses before the county gets a big assed lawsuit i know everyone thats lives on this road could have done a better job than they did.stupid stunts like this could cause the whole fiscal court to lose their jobs the next 4 years!!!!!

I know first hand they do not want to lift anyone that they can talk into walking to ambulance that is terrible to ask a sick elderly person to walk to the ambulance. Anyone that has a scanner knows how long it takes them to get anywhere they need to invest in gps.

I dont know the families that this pertains to but i did here this on the scanner and dispatch told them 5 times they passed it up with family in the yard. Our tax money gives ems a big chunk every year. I have a job and my payroll tax goes for this crap. Either the physical court and county judge needs to step in or this will be the last 4 years for them. I would rather my money go to rescue squad, sheriffs office to get rid of the drugs in the community or something good. Not for this crap.

we need ems. kinda like doctors sometimes. we bitch about prices, etc. until we need one then all is right with the world. I am sorry that something might have happened and they (ems) should have a gps (guess I thought they did). a gps should take them right to an address. if not something is wrong with the 911 system that we spent so much money on.

they do have gps but they need some pros to show them how to do their jobs of the fiscal court make them take training to learn how to read gps or road sign

They are working on computerized mapping software that together with gps will help them to get there but I think that will still take some more time. But, there will still be instances like the one at Happy Top no matter what. I heard it on the scanner too and I hate it for that family, but that road system there is a mess anyway unless you live there all your life and know your way around. When you live that far out in the middle of a maze like that, stuff like that can happen. In other words theres good things about moving to bumfukt egypt and there are bad, and that might be one of the bad things. I'm not exactly convinced that anybody passed away on Old Bethel Road as a result of ems having a hard time finding it either. It sounds like someones making things out to be a lot worse than they are.

The EMS workers are people just like us. They make mistakes and errors in judgement just like us. Have you never been lost, or not able to find a road out in the country? Of course you have - we all have. The fortunate thing for you and me is that nobody's life has even been on the line. It is so easy to come down on others when situations like this occur, but you really have to assess the situation from both sides. Not being able to find a road does not make you imcompetent or unqualified to do your job. Do you think they weren't trying to get there? There are times in everyone's life, on the job and off, that we try our very best and use all the resources we have and just cannot get the job done. At least we have people out there trying their best to help us when we need it.

you tell me one thing how in the hell can you drive by the sign when you are the road and you can see it clear as day and you pass it up 4 times and people on the phone with dispatch and telling them they passed it up 4 times that to me tells me these people sure the hell aint trying i can do better then that they sure dont try? they need to take their job a little more serious or they might someday get themeselves and fiscal court a big lawsuit on the ass for stuiped crap they are pulling i hope they do maybe they will all wakeup and take this job serious lolol

Why take out your anger on the Ems just because the Fiscal Court took the blue lights away? Ems had nothing to do with it so bashing them and putting them down will not help get them back.. I for one feel we have an excellent Ems compared to other counties and they do not deserve what you are trying to do just because you are mad at the fiscal court so if you continue on with posting this nonsense then maybe the public really needs to know who you are and why the lights were taken away in the first place. I bet the other constables would like to know the real reason the lights were taken away.

I don't have scanner. I don't know the particulars here, but I do have a question for you.(btw, I've never had to call the EMS so I can't comment on ability) But I noticed you pointed out numerous times that they passed the road, as well as the family trying to wave them down, yet you state they weren't even trying to find the place. My question is kind of simple. If they were not even trying to find the place, what were they even doing in the area? Sounds to me like they were trying. Maybe not getting the job done, but doesn't sound like incompetence or lack of effort.
