any moron can go read the court documents and get copies of the mortgages you wackjob so its not rocket science genius
People's Bank statements are not on public record at the courthouse for you to nose through. You can see certain info like deeds on file and the status of property taxes. People's financial statements and loan agreements are not on public record. You think that you can walk in and see just anyone's mortgage agreement, what they pay or owe, check their credit report etc.? There are privacy laws that prevent that. Doesn't take a genious to know that. Maybe you could collect all that info and share it on here.

how about you take your lazy nosey rea end to the courthouse and do your own research so you have some facts instead of the made up bs you like to post on here all the time !!
Just wondered if you could back up your mouth. I, personally am not that interested.
And if my bs bothers you so much, why do you persist in reading it?

Bank records and loan agreements are private records. But foreclosure is a legal proceeding. Therefore, it is public record. In order to obtain a judgement because of failure to pay/fulfill loan agreement, the lending institution must provide a copy of the loan agreement, thereby making it public record. It is only private until suit is filed, at that point, your right to privacy is no longer adhered to.

Look people, did you ever stop to think that it was the economy and not poor management. Take a look around this town. How many businesses have gone under in the last 5 years. How many jobs have our wonderful Mayor and Judge brought into the county? ZERO! All they are interested is having a party on the square every 3RD Thursday. How many jobs does that bring. So I fully understand what happened to the hotel. No businessess in Monticello for people to have a reason for staying overnight. Tourist are staying in Somerset where they can have a beer. So to me it makes perfect sense. How many of you would have the kahoonas to go out on a limb like they did and try to make this town better? My bet is not very many. My hats off to them for at least trying.

I hope you guys don't think I'm too stupid to read the paper or know what is made public record. I said personal finances! Forclosures and property dispensations are made public! Geesh Knotheads! People get on here and talk like they know every detail of every deal, what was said and who screwed up. Then they call it a fact. You're just talking to hear your head [email protected].correct about forclosures. These are dangerous times to start any business venture. People are broke.

Give me a freakin break!

The guy's Daddy, govenor of Michigan, left him all his money & with that he bought company's for pennies on the dollar, fired everyone then parted the company out for a profit. What is super about that? The guy is a parasite living off of the misery of thousands of people.

Plus he hid all of his money in the Cayman Islands & Swiss banks to keep from paying taxes. Yeah. The guy is a real jewel. NOT!!!

I did not say nice, I said a super businessman. He has the money to prove it. You can't deny he knows business. They all do it. Look at Bush's oil well interests. Was that right? You are stretching the truth quite a bit there also. All of his money? Really?

Like you would do any different if you were in his shoes. Most rich people find these loopholes for just that reason. If you claim you would do otherwise, I will call you a liar.

Has nothing to do with it. The vast majority would be rich whether genius or retarded. However, they don't STAY rich by being stupid. Although honestly, with the way this country is setup, that bar is set pretty damn low. Think pro sports players, rappers, and toothless lottery winners.

Since you missed the 'context' of what I said, let me put it in Smart talk.
Those who got rich on their own merits did not do so by being stupid.
Now does my 'context' make sense.

no, it all depends on what the person had to sacrifice for the financial gain. everything has a price, including wealth, the person who is happiest with the least material wealth is always the richest?

If by "smart talk" you mean using words that mean what you are trying to say, I guess I buy that. That is pretty smart. You should try it more often.

But you know that just begs the discussion of what exactly their own merits are.
