The trails are still open.....but I heard from a reliable source that maybe not for long.

Apparently, these dumbasses that drive these jacked up trucks tore all hell up in there this winter while the ground was as soft as it's been in a dozen years.

take hwy 90 to connies market, turn right onto hwy 1009 follow this road to hwy 200, take a left to hwy 1009 again and turn right follow this road to the bridge and you should be able to park there. This are is called slickford and it connects with the trails from hancocks.

Naw you can't park there the old couple don't live there anymore. The closest place to park around there is on up the road on the clinton co side of the line just before you get to the Tennessee line.

I don't think so. I believe that's the area that Wayne Lumber owns and they lease it out to a hunting outfitter or something like that. Pretty sure it's all gated off from there over to about horse rock and the hippie cabin area.

The parking there is a joke plus there is no one to watch ur vehicle. Myself, and a friend on 2 seperate occasions have had our windows broken out, and items stolen..... Most of the roads are closed off because of Dumba$$e$. Theye just keep on tearing those mountain roads all to H3LL. No one has respect any more, and could care less about others property. So maybe you might want to consider riding elsewhere. where the parking is safe, and the roads are in decent shape. Maybe, mabe not just a bit of info, Thanks

There is plenty of safe parking around Slickford. You just have to know someone and ask.

I went on top of millsap last weekend toward the tn side on the right on top of the mtn. The gates wasnt up, i passed where they use to be, but they was an old rottin tree fell across the rode. If some one wanted to cut the tree, you proable could go back toward the horse rock and hippy cabins.

You can still get to the hippie cabin and horse rock though.....right? From the trail by the old sandy valley school?
