to all of you who are interested in this, just be cautious, and don't do this with out a lawyer. As in their first posting, there is 5 years left on their loan; so they don't 100% own it, to be doing a land contract on it.

I got burnt 5 years ago on similar situation.

April, With $8000.00 and the economy being the way it is, you should be able to buy a pretty decent mobile home for around that price or quite possibly a good deal less. Try to find a repo in good shape and have it checked out by someone who knows what to look for. Electrical, flooring, insulation, heating, cooling, ect.

It's a buyers market now, especially as far as mobile homes are concerned. Rather being single wide or double wide they lose their value very very quickly and not generally a good investment, especially if you might plan on maybe buying or building a home in the future.
