When your spoiled spawn end up overseas, suffering from the results of American-entitlement disease, being prisoners in the hands of the police, who might not give the same type of rights that they have hear, oh dear, don't yell but quietly tell those foreign folks, who might laugh and think you a joke, while to babble and prattle, about how nice and gentle your children are because they've never been paddled, and thus could never be addled spoiled little girls and boys doing vandalism and activism and criminal joys. And Thus you fear that they won't be pampered and spoiled as they were over here.
Good thing for you nobody paddles you for posting while drunk.

See Pops. This is what I've been talking about. Everyone has a different view what's Punishment and what's abuse. Agree or dis-agree, it's a fine line. Bring paddling back will only lead to more lawsuits and violence, which is exactly why it was banned in the first place.
And I specifically mention each & everyone of your points in all or parts of numerous posts.
The reason that I have said nothing for some time is that 1. Overall, enough said. 2.I have NO problem being disagreed with, especially on such a passionate topic. 3. Many people on here seem to register limited portions of each of these posts While missing the full msg & comment/argue accordingly..
YOU are a perfect example. I DID mention lawsuits, I DID mention the difficulty of application, I DID mention differences of opinions, etc. My wording may have been somewhat different from post to post but the messages were INCLUSIVE of EXACTLY these points now stated by you.
Thanx for proving my many points & defacto, agreeing. Except that I am not personally opposed to paddleing. But the parameters for such would be near mind boggleing in most of the country.
But still, IF some parent would want to opt into such a program, they should waive sueing & that still opens another can of legal worms while trying to keep a lid on such a litigious can.
For the most part it would work about nowhere & I have no problem with that either.

I wanna paddle those plump pink little [FEMALE] cheerleader butts and turn them into sexy young sluts, and unlike fairies, turning their little asses as red as strawberries, before getting them onto beds and busting their cherries.

TASERS would do, if only we'd ignore baby makers who boohoo and not allow them to sue.

Some "children" will make you hit them because they will push and press and aggravate to see how far they can go; a long way thanks to these child-abues media 'hos. Then, they get a shock, after they can't get away with their nonsense in the real world, actin' bad because of a tolerant mom and dad.

Discipline your child in todays time, means jail time. If you can get your employers to overlook your absenteeism over punishing your child, then I say go for it. Today kids call the police, and 241-KIDS. Then 241-Kids turn around and call the police. Kids today could care less, if their parents lose their jobs, and are sent to jail. Parents and employees need to pull together, and work with each other. When Little Johnny, or Little Annie go out and cause trouble, who do the authorities and others blame(not themselves), they blame the parents, whose hands have been tied by them (authorities).

"spare the rod and spoil the child" is NOT in the Bible, anywhere, any version. You might like to say it, but it's not "God's Word."
There is a verse in Proverbs 23:13-14 that says, Don't hesitate to discipline a child. A good spanking won't kill him. As a matter of fact, it may save his life.

Let's start by having & enforcing dress codes. I am not saying uniforms, but no guys wearing pants below the waste, no hot pants/low riders, no printed tee shirts, no 'painted on' clothes, no skirts up to the butt cheeks etc.
For a 1st step Let's start creating & enforcing standards that funnel the students attention towards studies.
Then evaluate the changes which I would expect to be improvements & move on from there.
