NCHS needs to start drug testing their athletes again. You would be surprise how many would fail. And it's mostly the promient kids getting high and drunk every weekend. It's also the kids that their parents will be the 1st ones to say "NOT MY CHILD" I know if some of these parents took matters in their own hands and tested their own child they would be SHOCKED!BUT I can guarantee you the won't!!!!

The stars of the football and baseball teams at NCHS are the worst when it comes to drugs and alcohol. The coaches know they do it but because they play well on game day it doesn't seem to matter. One of them will mess up and kill someone while driving under the influence and it will all come out.

So you are the one that is always making excuses for your no good drug head child!!!!!! I have no problem with success. I am just speaking the truth! Exactly what is it you do when your kids are out getting drunk and on drugs. Obviously not checking on your kids! Or is it the apple don't fall from the tree???? I have seen these kids with my own eyes smoking dope on the weekend. I just hope when they are doped up and driving you are the person they meet head on!

when you have older brothers like the collins boys, mccauslin and others ..the younger brothers dont realy have much of a role model to look up to. they are not having positive influence on their lives. i know those kids mess up and do need to be tested but they also need to have a better influence on them for when they are outside of school.

Not sure who those boys are but... it is not the siblings responsibly to take care of the younger kids. It is the parents. But parents rather hide their head under a rock than check up on their kids.
How about that

nchsmom72, if you knew anything about he collins or mccauslins, you'd know that one of the younger ones plays football for NSU and attends on academic scholarships and the other is doing great at NCHS. The same for the other family too, one is running track on scholarships and the sister doing great at NCHS. I think its great that you haven't had to go through any hard stuff in life and can make such statements. Good for you. Maybe you could be a positive role model and help change some lives.

i know about them. trust me. i was just making a statement that its not just the parents that influence positive in their children's lives. its the siblings, family, friends and all of their surroundings. i grew up with 2 brothers and 3 sisters and 3 out of us turned out to be on drugs..and my siblings were influenced by their brothers and sister. there is more to choices in a childs life other than what their parents can and cannot do for them.. and for the kids that are doing great with athletics and scholarships, good for them. those are the ones we can depend on to help our younger generation stay focused and on the right track to a successful life.
How about that

nchsmom72, maybe with the history of your own family, you could have left out names. I'm sure the younger siblings have heard enough talk about their families. You can make a point without pointing a finger and causing anymore pain. Did you like hearing others talk about the neg. Focus on the good and good will follow.

I just want to make sure that I am reading this right, you have seen them with your own eyes smoking dope on the weekend. Are you with them, I find it hard to believe that any person would just smoke dope out in the open for all to see. You just put yourself in the mix with them. And if you are aware of them being so messed up, why haven't you turned them in or called their parents. How can you say the parents aren't checking on them. Are you that close you are sure of that? Just to quote that you've seen them with your own eyes, does not make it true. And where is your responsiblity in saving a life if you know about it and don't stop them from driving into another person head on. You sound like a person that wants to stand on a box to be heard, but not put forth any effort to help change things. And since you see these with your own eyes, please get some new friends because with you being that close, you may be the next one smoking dope on the weekends. I have never had anyone smoke dope and witness it with my own eyes. Something is wrong with that picture.

Do you play football or baseball? Do you attend workouts and put forth the effort? Maybe they are just good and try hard because they actually want to go somewhere in life. It's hard for me to believe that the coaches would overlook such a serious issue. I know most of the boys on the baseball team and I have never seen them high or drunk. Are you sure you aren't mistaking them having fun and acting crazy for a drug problem. Some people just know how to have good clean fun. They are good kids and all that know them know that they are. If you have been mistreated or overlooked, don't let that turn you into a hateful person. Try hard and you will succeed.

Yes I saw it. The kids were out in a public place not even trying to hide it. You could also smell it on their clothes. No I was NOT hanging out with them I was going to the movies with my husband! And Noooo I didn't call their parents because the parents are just like you! Defensive and trying to replace the blame! Lord knows their child would never do that!!!!!!! But, I did call the police and let them know. So hopefully these so called wonderful kids did Not kill anyone!

I guess the fact that these parents let their kids run around doing drugs, drinking and driving. Then yes I have a personal problem with that. Anyone responsible parent would. I guess that tells a lot about you! Just wondering... Why are you being so defensive? Do one of these kids belong to you? Let me guess your too busy drinking it up with your little social group and don't have time to be bothered with your kids! Grow up! Sounds like you approve of all the drugs and alcohol.
