The prinipal, Skinner, made a fool of himself infront of the entire crowd. Is this the kind of example Skinner sets for his sudents!!! I was shocked at his display of anger and lack of self-control. The board needs to bring him up in a board meeting and make him give account for his actions!!! He showed his true colors.

Do you know what set him off? I wouldn't call for anyone's head until the details and truth comes out. And even if he is a principle, he is still passionate about his basketball since he coached it for so long and very successful at it. Obviously something set him off and he may have went overboard but he is old-school and that's how he handled the situation. We all have our moments and will have more when get higher in age like that.

There's NO excuse for putting your hands on someone anytime anywhere, especially when you're in a "respected" position such as principle of a high school!

Nothing should be able to "set off" someone to the point of committing assault on a co-worker/subordinate.

Can't you just hear some of the trouble makers at NCHS trying to use that excuse when they get into a fight. "Hey, it's not our fault, something set us off!"

well as always, certain details are being left out of what happened. One of the NCHS players and a player for Lakeview were nose to nose and with a rivalry as heated as NCHS and Lakeview boys basketball the last thing you need is a fight between players on the court because god only knows what may happen in the stands. So he went over there and told the kids that they better not start a fight during the game. After he did what he did, the hostility in the gym was GONE! did he go a little overboard? Yea prolly so, but anyone who was there could see that that atmosphere was way too intense up until that point. Once Skinner did what he did, the atmosphere changed. Had he not done what he did, we were about to have major problems in the stands and on the court. So if he had to go a little overboard to settle down the players then so be it. His tirade prevented an EPIC scene with the players and the crowd. The scene he made prevented something MUCH larger.

Now with that said, I think he should trust a great coach like Micah Coleman to be able to police his own team. I'm sure anyone who watches the game knows that Coach Coleman takes NO BS from his players.

So let m get this straight, by yelling, screaming, and PUSHING Coach Coleman, Skinner was able to improve the tense situation in the gym that night?

Are you crazy? hahahaha

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard! Skinner didn't diffuse anything, he was a raving lunatic that resorted to violence when he didn't get his way. Skinner didn't prevent an "epic scene", he MADE an epic scene and an a$$ of himself!

It's obvious that some on here want Mr. Skinner gone at NCHS. I've read other topics on this. Now,the reason seems clear. Some take offense to the fact that their young hoods have to behave at school now,or they get kicked out.

This has nothing to do with the actions of young hoods, Principal Skinner lost his temper and angrily shoved the basketball coach in front of the entire gymnasium full of people. His students, staff, parents and a visiting school witnessed this outrageous behavior!

So do you think his actions were acceptable? Do you think an assault should be overlooked?

What if it were a child he had attacked?

He obviously does not have the decorum to be a in a professional position.
