I was born and raised in grant parish. The things ive seen and experienced did not still my life.Ive had friends and family die from alchahol, drugs and stupidity.Others well it was there time.We dont live for others or family anymore.Decisions we make define who we are and what we become and what we leave behind weather good or bad.But you are responsible for you your children till there of age and taking care of our elderly.Ive seen less imponthy in hospitals, homes and in public. But know one can be you are you them.So remember we all have a choice dont make excuses.

Curious, actually didn't have the story right. Jamie's body was lying across the road and someone did pass over him. He did not pass out on the side of the road, he was left in a truck in his grandmother's yard. Nobody knows the truth of the story, but there is still question as to how his body got in the road. Alcohol was involved, but drugs was not. There is more to the story and the GPSO should have investigated further.

"I knew Jamie very well, he was one of my closest friends and I agree, no one is quite certain just HOW his body ended up in the road, and it should have been further investigated. The fact is, it wasn't and many people were left heart broken with so many unanswered questions, myself included. I can't even imagine a world without Jamie and yet I'm forced to live in it. I cannot sit here and give details about what I do not know for fact but for the record and in Jamie's defense, DRUGS WERE NOT INVOLVED, that is a fact. I can and will defend him when people judge him and assume the wrong things. It is called loyalty, he was and will always be "MY FRIEND" and I will miss him all the days of my life. For whatever reason he ended up in that road, for whatever reason God took him home... please let him rest in peace."

I first met Jamie when he and my older son played on Willis Miller's T-ball team. I'll never forget the first time Jamie made in it to home plate. He was so excited and jumped up and down yelling "I made it home!" Later I taught Mitch, Brandie, and Jamie. As a student, Jamie worked hard and was a joy to have in the class. I'll always remember the big smile he always had on his face and his happy attitude. I laugh when I recall the time Jamie started the only Easter egg FIGHT held at Verda School. My toddler was visiting the class to participate in the Easter party and egg hunt. He threw a boiled Easter egg at Jamie. A big smile came to Jamie's face. Jamie fired the egg back and the fight was on! Dozens of eggs flew through the air as the other students joined in on the fun! When all the ammunition was used, we quickly picked up all the pieces of egg and shell before we all got in trouble. I am glad to have known Jamie. He was a sweet person with a good heart. Jamie has "made it home" to be with Jesus. Let's let him rest in peace and cherish the good memories he made when he was here on Earth with us.
