This is a wise decision on the part of the village. There is no reason to ban feeding the cats. No one bans folks from putting out a bird feeder or feeding squirrels, do they?

The cats are not hurting anyone, and have the right to live their lives just like any other wild animal.

Yup until you have to scrub cat piss off of your house or dig up cat crap while gardening. Or infect your pet cat with feline HIV or rabies Cats are domesticated animals, not wildlife. There's a difference dummy
