Alabama Senate approves limited charter schools
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Alabama Senate passed a bill Wednesday night to legalize charter schools, but only in the state's four largest cities and only after a detailed approval process.

Public charter schools are an important first step toward improving education in Alabama. However, it faces tremendous obstacles from the monied interests of AEA and those who want to keep the electorate uniformed and uneducated.
